Until recently the theory of a meteor strike creating the Chicxulub Crater and causing mass extinction of the dinosaurs was just that; a theory. They didn't think the measurements added up until they discovered a certain material laying on the ocean floor which just so happens to pretty much only sit like this in the Gulf of Mexico.

They said if a meteor were to hit this precise spot that the mineral would amplify the explosion exponentially and this is how the world of science became unified in the this theory now being accepted as fact. If a meteor this size had hit anywhere else on Earth the dinosaurs would have probably survived.

Anybody know what this mineral is? I just can't remember nor am I succesful in mining for it on the web.

The next 11-year sunspot cycle will be late but strong according to a new computer prediction
National Center for Atmospheric Research's High Altitude Observatory in Boulder, Colorado, US.

The Sun is currently near its minimum activity, at the tail end of a solar cycle, numbered 23. "Onset of the next cycle will be delayed by six to 12 months, to late 2007 or early 2008," Dikpati says. She expects the next peak to hit in 2012.

Thoughts on this?

There has been alot of evidence coroborating this flip in magnetic field. And it has been shown to happen hundreds of times (if not more). The implication is that when it gets ready to flip again the normal magnetic field of the earth disappears or seems not to be easily detectable. What will this do to navigation, etc.? I also heard that the earth is getting ready to do this again in the very near future. What mechanism is responsible for this?

Some people say that we came from a tiny, densly packed ball of energy, that blew up and gave us everything. Where did all the densly packed stuff come from? Nowhere?

Also, if somehow the earth came from nowhere( which makes no sense anyway, look at the law of biogenesis) did all humans come from a rock, or some kind of snot floating in the ocean? And don't say that you don't think we come from rocks, because that is what you think. Watch some Kent Hovind
