i was told that the is a 30 degree hill in lebanon, when we put a car on neutral on the hill it wont go down but it will go up!!! i didnt believe it a first but i went there and the same thing they told me happened. how can anyone explain this!!!!

I'm not sure that your particular story is true but, the magnetic lines of force in the earth aren't perfectly parallel. They can be distorted by large mineral deposits or molten magma. In fact, this is such a common occurrence that pilot maps indicate how you should set your compass to compensate for it as you fly over the country. Going back to your question, there are a number of places on the planet that things indeed seem to roll up hill because of local magnetic disturbances. However, 30 degrees sounds way to much to me.

There are many of these reversing hills around the world and all are the result of an optical allusion that makes the hill to appear real but in reality it is not.
