The best scientific evidence is that increased solar output is the major cause. The sun has been getting brighter for the last 100 to 150 years, and is now brigther than at any time in the last millenium.

With all the hype, I can forgive a 7 year old for believing in human caused global warming but after you have reached the age of 8 or 9, you should become independent enough in your thinking not to be taken in by the latest scientific fad. Global warming is certainly caused by the sun as my house warming is caused by my heater. If I insulate my home, perhaps it will stay a little warmer in the winter and that is essentially what green house gases are theorized to do. I notice that not even the most ardent global warming zealot implies man has added more than 0.000001 per cent of CO2 to the atmosphere (or about a quarter of the total CO2 (just under 400 parts per million). This tiny bit is supposed to doom us all to a burning death. Water vapor, a far more significant greenhouse gas, is more like 1 per cent of the atmosphere but can't be blamed on humans and therefore is of no interest to the global warming Pharisees. Being a geolgist, I am familiar with the changes in temperature, climate, and sea levels over time. They always change. Believe me, because it was true in the past, if we had global cooling going on, industry would be blamed by the same people preaching that industry is causing Global Warming.

There's no denying that some of it is natural, but take a look at the charts. As the human population doubled, tripled, ect., and the assholes in government sat around doing nothing, pollution levels increased. To this day, people lose their jobs because they try to expose the truth. Government says scientists do not all believe in global warming, yet a study and research into science magazines decades ago shows the none out of almost 1,000 did not believe in a global warming caused by humans.
Most of it IS us. I've understood this since I was seven years old, and now it's becoming more serious.

The more people on the planet the more methane goes into the atmosphere (fart gas). Methane is 50 times more global warming than CO2. The population explosion is the reason for global warming.
It doesn't matter . What matters is what are we going to do about it. In 10 years a lot of us will be driving non polluting electric cars. That will help.

The scientific data shows clearly that it is mostly man. Mostly his burning of fossil fuels. A little from other activities of man. A little natural.
Here's a great summary of the scientific data. On page 4 there's a detailed breakdown of the causes with numerical data. The sun, for example is responsible for a bit less than 10%.
