Well it would be the same actually

The sponges are life forms made from what is in the oceans.

The water in the sponge takes up the same volume as the water out of the sponge.

Now the sponge takes up some space, but as a sponge or a bit of dirt it takes up the same space.

My question back to you, how much smarter would you be if everyone on yahoo ***** slapped you.......

Since sponges live in pineapples and the average pineapple is 8 inches tall, without the need for pineapples all over the ocean floor, the ocean should be about 8 inches deeper.

How are sponges related to the depth of oceans ? They are just one of the many organisms living in the sea. Ocean depths are controlled by tectonic setting of the earth and one species of organism does not make any difference to it.

Sponges are only absorbent when dead and "hollow." When living, there are no spaces to be filled like you're thinking.

lol it doesnt make a difference... actually it would probably be shallower because when u put something into water it seems like there is more... and when u take it out it seems like there is less..
