If a large meteor rock what ever hit the dinosours if it di hits the earth and the hit is strong eough to move the entire planet about a 1,000 miles away from the sun would the planet be global warming free because it's farther from the sun and there for it's so much colder even if every day even in the summer is like -10 degrees or -30 degrees we could learn to adapt to it and the earth would immedeatly (spelled that wrong) cool down. Would it work and if a rock hits the earth with enough force to move us that fa away from the sun would the whole planet be destroyed would all life die or survive.

Yes, you are right we are fighting for our Earth, our home and our lives.

I walked the streets of Seattle and the streets of Quebec with thousands of other citizens. I talked with them, protested with them, laughed with them and threw canisters with them.

We can talk about the problems of our present system and it's unacceptable situation. We all may boycott and protest, which are very important. But what I feel is needed is a plan - we need a new story, a new vision, a new place we want to go and arrive at in the future.

If I may, may I spark your imaginations?

We see a world that is infinitely connected, where our cities are forests, cleaning the air and being homes for many species.
Our homes create excess energy through ecological design architecture made of local materials. This anticipatory design science uses the abundant solar energy when it is cost-effective. Therefore perhaps some day paying for part of our home taxes by selling hydrogen back to the grid.h

The Olympis Mons. Some people think I'm crazy for believing that a huge lightning bolt (ones like our ancient ancestors talked about, remember?) struck the planet created those huge mountains that look like volcanoes, but actually aren't. Don't the "craters" look cut out? They're so clean and round and centered on each other:

I mean... come on! In the electric experiment you see in the first picture, moisture came out of the clay and "sweat" away from the crater.

Anyways, I'm just trying to get somebody new to see it too and maybe get a friend a little bit more convinced.

We have to be fair here. We as consumers do a lot of things that add to the degradation of our environment.

This could include exhausting or releasing or creating as a byproduct - pollutants, green house gasses, toxins, excessive heat, or any other harmful item or even using too much energy to perform the process, or wasting too much raw product or natural resource.

What do you think the worst thing is and how can we fix it?

When it is very hot in some areas there is still snow on the high mountain tops. But since the mountain is closer to the sun than the ground is, wouldn't the snow melt? Why does snow still exist there?

Pied piper of the year, he wants to convince us that he is all knowing and wise so he should be our leader. What a crock. Who was the fellow that served to koolaid in Ghana a few years back? Jim Jones led his people to salvation just like Al wants to do.

Turning the generator makes electricity, generator is turned by turbine, and turbine is turned by force: the force is either water from waterfalls or steam. Boiling water creates steam. Water is boiled by coal, natural gas or atomic power. Why don’t we use the heat form volcanoes? This question is for scientists, who can think of a way utilize that wasted heat.
