Okay I am having trouble figuring this out. What is the Ion for the atoms of S, Be, I, Rb,O,Sr, and F. Also what is the Noble-gas configuration of the Ions. So I need to know what is the Ion of those atoms and the Noble-gas configuration of the Ions for Each. Thankyou and take care.

average : 13.69mL
calculate total moles of Mg2+ AND CA2+ in 10mL hard water

option 1: 13.65/1000=0.001365L x 0.01 M EDTA= 1.365x10^-5
or
option 2: the same as above but include my calcium moles
and multiple it by my Ca2+ moles?

An oxide of nitrogen is 25.9% N by mass, has a molar mass of 108 g/mol, and contains no nitrogen-nitrogen or oxygen-oxygen bonds. Draw the Lewis structure and use it to determine each of the following:

name of the molecule
wrong check mark

total number of valence electrons

number of lone pairs of valence electrons

total number of NO bonds

formal charge on N

formal charge on the most central O

O-N-O bond angle (ideal value)

Aluminum sulfate is poured into sodium hydroxide solution.
The balanced chemical equation is
Al2(SO4)3+6NaOH → 2Al(OH)3 +3Na2SO4.

If 35.0 mL of 0.400 M (moles) sodium hydroxide is used, how many moles of aluminum hydroxide can be produced? Explain how the aluminum hydroxide could be isolated after the reaction.
If only 0.00442 moles of aluminum hydroxide were isolated, what would the percent yield be?

Given the following data:

C2H2 + 2.5O2 → 2CO2 + H2O DH = −1300 kJ

C + O2 → CO2 DH = −394 kJ

H2 + 0.5O2 → H2O DH = −286 kJ

Calculate DH for the reaction

2C + H2 → C2H2

Please answer and explain thank you!

"K2(CO3)+2HCl=2KCl+CO2+H2O"
Is this balanced equation of a chemical reaction between potassium carbonate and hydrochliric acid is right??

When you're balancing an equation, how do you know whether or not to add a plus sign or what to do? For example, when you balance say
5O(2)+C(3)H(8) (Parantheses mean subscript)
you get 3CO(2)+4H20

My question is how did it end up to being PLUS 4H20?
Any explanation will be greatly appreciated.

Chemistry is so confusing, if anyone has simpler steps or shortcuts to arriving to an answer, please let me know. Thank you.

Which container has the greater number of atoms if there are two containers with an equal number of moles of helium and hydrogen gases?

Also, what is the ratio of the average kinetic energies of hydrogen and helium at the same temperature?

I am doing a simple lab (making soap) and one of the post-lab questions is to calculate the ratio of NaOH to triglycerides. I know the olive oil I used is a triglyceride, but I don't know if the Crisco I used is.

The other day somebody played a prank on me in my dorm by smearing a banana all over my doorknob. When I cleaned it off, the doorknob had become all clean and shiny. Is there like, some kind of chemical reaction going on that made this happen?
