I know that a tomato seed when placed with pulp of the same variety of tomatoes will not germinate even if the other factors for germination are there since the pulp is a germination inhibitor.

But how about a tomato seed that is placed in the pulp of another kind of tomato's pulp? Does it still not germinate? And if possible, could you explain why?

Well we have central air.... How the heck am I suppose to "recreate" these south Carolina temperatures so my new seedlings that came out of the fridge think it's spring time? Does the temperature REALLY matter indoors or just the amount of hours of light? (less light in spring, more in summer, ect" Any tips on this?

My question is simple: is larva (bee larva?) involved in the pollination or growth process of canteloupes? I just cut one open, and part of the rind looked like those little tuberish growths that contain necessary larva in fig fruit, and I then read that bees pollinate canteloupes. Please don't respond unless you're sure of your accuracy. Thanks!

Some of them roam about aimlessly around the light. some sit on it without any fear of getting fried to death. Some of them ( the more disgusting ones) touch the bulb and fall straight down as if it is some kind of a sport and after touching the ground they spring up to do the same thing again. It looks quite funny but is there any biological reason why most bugs do this?

This plant was given to me by an elderly lady that didn't remember the name. What looks like a spiny succulent, is actually a four sided flaccid rope, with the feel of Ultra-suede. The blooms look like purple Maypops but soft like the rest of the plant. http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x47/RScott-02/?action=view¤t=DSCN4162.jpg RScott
