Does most speciation occur gradually, or is there a major "leap" at the point of speciation?
I am confused when creationists say they accept microevolution but reject speciation-- it seems like enough small changes would result in speciation eventually... am I wrong?

How come neurons and other cells remain in a differentiated state, when the signals that caused their differentiation are no longer present?

The problem seems to grow and grow. When parents begin lobbying that religious beliefs be taught in science classrooms you have to admit the system is failing (has failed) somewhere. It also seems that these people have convinced themselves that creation is true and evolution is false. Not only this they display a fundamental misunderstanding of what evolution really is, lumping things like the big bang into the theory along with statements like "man came from monkeys." It also seems that they are mostly unwilling to accept an actual education on the subject.

How can we educate those who need it so badly?

All kids I know sink in the pool unless they have a floatation device. So I"m curious as to why young children don't float. I would have thought it would be natural. So I guess, the question could also be what mechanism causes you to float?

Four Biomolecules:
-Lipids
-Carbohydrates
-Proteins
-Nucleic Acids

I thought it was Carb because it has a lot of subunits but now I think it is proteins......my friend thought it was that and it dose make sense.

So which one is it?
