Actually it was really quite simple when I thought about it - dinosaurs became extinct because their eggs were constantly being eaten by other mammals more frequently than they could have a chance to lay more. Obviously, the sneaky animals outwit the clunky dinos in this case.

Mammals like us have a basic instinct to eat the eggs of other animals. It's really no wonder how the non egg-laying mammals became the dominant species on this planet.

Perhaps the modern reptiles of today still exist because they found a way to - a. become smaller and be more protective of their eggs or b. find a way to make their eggs poisenous/disgusting to other animals.

Asteroid, pft! Thoughts?

A friend of mine hit me in the back, he hit me nor very hard nor to soft. I did not have a bruise but when i touched the part were he hit me, i felt pain, but only when i touched the part where he hit me and it felt like a bruise but i did not have a bruise because i did not have a purple spot according to my friend. So the pain persisted for 3 days and then it did not hurt anymore so do u think that, that could stunt my growth? In addition, what are the chances of damaging the growth plate until the growth plate gets damaged enough so u don't grow? Is it just breaking the growth plate that stunts ur growth? I only suffered a trauma, i did not sprain nor fracture my back so will I keep on growing, did i damage my growth plates so I won;t grow anymore?

I know we share 85% of our DNA with dogs, and 98% with chimpanzees, but how much do we share with birds? If you are just going to say "none" then don't post a comment.

I cloned something !!?

I know this sounds stupid but im 100% telling the truth in my bio class 11th grade they taught us how to exstract pure DNA from fruit so after exstensive study and trials etc of exstracting DNA from a Lemon it finally worked !! We tryed it *** a class only one was succesful but ive tried in my home lab. So for the past 8 years i've been studying cloning I took the DNA split and rebuilt a second helix after 3 days I took a look in my test tube and I saw 2 black dots. I checked on it again in 2 weeks later the black dots turned into small yellow balls i decided the exsperiment didn't work just in case i placed my exsperiment in my lab fridge I checked in 2 weeks later 2 SMALL lemons actually formed i was amazed theve grown to full size im amazed im only 17 and i swear I cloned a lemon I have two in my fridege i sliced them and they tasted like lemons but i had exsteme abdominal pain I havent told anyone about my exsperiment should I say something and am I the firs

Got 5 of each

Meiosis
-occurs in the formation of sex cells (gametes)
-results in 4 genetically different haploid cells
-cell division used for reproduction to produce gamates
- the chromosomes may differ because the chromosomes formed by meiosis exchange some part of their genes
- involves more than one division

Mitosis
-occurs in somatic (body cells)
-results in 2 genetically identical diploid celss
-cell division used for growth replacement and repair of damaged cells
- the chromosomes n genes r same in both daughter cells
- involves just one division

Having trouble with the last 5 hoping yall can point a few out
thanks
