> How do I get the RNA sequence from this? This looks like a prokaryotic DNA promoter sequence to me. But what do I know. I write videogames. > "TTGACA" or "TATAAT"? These mark the promoter sequence at -35 and -10 respectively. Maybe. You should google TTGACA to be sure. > Why do exons make a difference in the genetic code? Exons are the "expressed" part. Those are the guys that contribute to the sequencing information of gene product, you know, a polypeptide sequence. Oh, and, by the way -- read your textbook.

In DNA you always put the straight-lined letters together AT, and the curved-line letters together CG.
RNA doesn't have T. Replace T with U for uracil.
I tell my students that it doesn't play the straight-line game anymore, awwwwww. AU

UGC / GCA / UAC / UGA / UACG
THE GUY ABOVE IS INCORRECT BECAUSE IN RNA THYMINE IS REPLACED WITH URACIL. REMEMBER THAT FOR THE TEST! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! HOPE THAT HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A goes with U for RNA and C with G in DNA A goes with T.
