A friend of mine hit me in the back, he hit me nor very hard nor to soft. I did not have a bruise but when i touched the part were he hit me, i felt pain, but only when i touched the part where he hit me and it felt like a bruise but i did not have a bruise because i did not have a purple spot according to my friend. So the pain persisted for 3 days and then it did not hurt anymore so do u think that, that could stunt my growth? In addition, what are the chances of damaging the growth plate until the growth plate gets damaged enough so u don't grow? Is it just breaking the growth plate that stunts ur growth? I only suffered a trauma, i did not sprain nor fracture my back so will I keep on growing, did i damage my growth plates so I won;t grow anymore?

don't worry about it. it was just a superficial injury with some muscle spasm and will nicely if your friend doesn't feel overly affectionate too many times.
just kidding.
growth cannot be stunted by a mere injury. it is controlled by hormones(growth hormone secreted by the anterior pitiutary), nutrition and also to an extent your genetic composition(as in height, build- polygenic inheritence etc)
ofcourse it also depends on your age, if you are 50 you obviously can't expect to grow much.

Do not worry. Growth plates are only found on long bones, not vertebrae. Long bones are leg and arm bones etc. They are called long bones because they are longer than they are wide. It takes a fairly severe break on the growth plate to stop growth. You simply had a slight bruise that was too deep to show the purple coloring.

ok. your growth is not going to be affected by a pouch . and even if there were a bruise, its not a big deal. the growth inside your bone murrow, so if your bone is not cut into pieces, your growth is not going to get affected. second, majority of your growth happens in you leg and hip area, and you said you got hit in the back, so that not gonna do anything.

If everytime I got hit I freaked out that much I would be in nervous trama. Don't worry I get hit a lot and I am pretty tall for my age and family. Also look at all the sports players. They get hit enough.

Your body can take hits like that and heal up with no problem. However, I hope you let your friend know that it was painful and that you don't want him to do it again.

You should continue growing normally.
