School is supposed to be about teaching facts not theories! I know many of you agree, but how many of you realize just how insidious this practice of teaching theories has become?

Why today I learned that not only do they teach that silly theory of evolution, with all of its supporting data and support by real scientists, as fact.

It's worse than that. They also teach the theory of gravity. The cell theory. And the germ theory of disease. I mean seriously, who are these guys fooling? At the very least, they should be required to teach competing theories, regardless of the lack of proof or scientific merit of said theories. That's right, back to teaching spontaneous generation, disease as plagues from divine spirits and that the planet is held in place by Atlas.

All creatures seem subject to genetic data exchange but human beings also seem to transfer a lot of non-genetic data important to survival, not just to offspring. Should Lamarck be given another chance instead of being taught as the guy who got it wrong?

Most scientists believe that the early Earth was buffeted by a series of asteroid impacts, each of which wiped out many species, at least one coming close to wiping out all life itself. I was surprised to learn that the marine life suffered much greater losses than life on land. I would have thought that life in the seas would have had some protection from the blast of such impacts, and the subsequent atmospheric effects, including the drop in temperature, but it seems not to be the case. Any idea why not?

When we were teaching my little brother to write a few years ago I noticed he immidiately grabbed the pencil with his right hand. I am left handed, and my older brother is right handed. Both of my parents are right handed too. I write with my left hand, but as a child, my parents confused me by teaching me to do many things right handed and many things left handed. Is it true that opposite sides of your brain operate oposite sides of your body? Is writing with a particular hand a trait or a learned behavior? Also, can others influence which hand you write with? Thanks.

It is possible have vestigial organ with out evolution:-
I make first document in MS word WITHOUT any formatting & second document in MS word with very good formatting.
I do this because I think MS Word is best option for me then notepad where much formatting is not allowed. Space in my hard disk is not problem for me

Now in first case if you say that there is much vestigial thing & this is only necessary in second case so first document has evolved from second document. Which is not correct because I am creator. So vestigial organ do not necessarily confirm evolution it only says what tools creator (tools may be improved with time)used while making species. This same principle is seen even in electronic gadgets of today.

Probably this did not come to mind of Darwin as in those days in every day life as there were no comman tools to do differnt jobs which are apperantly disconnected. So he said unless creator had plan to mislead us there should not be any vestigial organ
