My dad was born with dark brown eyes (he's Asian) but over the years, his eyes have lightened in color. They're a bluish-hazel now. Why is this? And his vision hasn't been affected by this ...

why do our hairs all flow downwards so helps water flow away? why do we have nails on our fingers to help grip? why do we have more hair growth on our heads than anywhere else? why do hair in our nose filter the dirt? where are the flaws? is it evolution? everything on our body is there for a reason, but how did it all start?

Does this happen to anyone else? When I close my left eye and look through my right, the colors seem bright. But when I close my right eye and look through my left, the colors seem dull and dark. And when I look with both eyes, the dark and bright seem to cancel each other out and the colors are thus just right! Not too bright, not too dull, right in the middle.
