Does this happen to anyone else? When I close my left eye and look through my right, the colors seem bright. But when I close my right eye and look through my left, the colors seem dull and dark. And when I look with both eyes, the dark and bright seem to cancel each other out and the colors are thus just right! Not too bright, not too dull, right in the middle.

It's not a big difference, just like a slight difference between the colors actually.

One more thing: through right eye only everything looks 3-D but with left eye only everything seems 2-D.

This doesn't really answer your question, but when its dark out go outside and turn on a flash light and put your mouth around the lighted part....it makes everything red, lol. I discovered that at camp when I was a little girl...

But, after reading your question I closed one eye and you are right. So, yeah..it happens to me to.

I don't know about the color thing, but the 3-D versus 2-D thing is probably you figuring out your dominant eye. Just like being right or left-handed, we are right or left-eyed. So if you close one eye and everything still looks pretty much the same, then your open eye is your dominant eye. If you close it and everything looks a little flat, then its your non-dominant eye. Note though, that with only 1 eye open, you really are seeing in 2-D, no matter which one is open. It just takes a little while for your brain to realize that only 1 eye is open. The process goes a little quicker if you start moving around (while keeping 1 eye shut) because your brain has to stop using its memory of what it just saw, and start filtering new visual information.

because one eye is the dominant eye.
you have one eye that is way more acute than the other. one eye is the one that you use to see. the other is just a point of reference.
to find out which one is which try this...
1. look at a small object on your wall or accross the yard.
2. put your finger in front of it so you cannot see it.
3. close one eye.
4. if you cannot see the object that is your dominant eye
5. swith eyes. you will be able to see the object now
the dominant eye does 90% of the work. the other eye is just for depth perception
cool huh?

This is caused by pressure differences within your eyes. I'll bet the "brighter eye" sees with a yellow/orange tint and the "darker" eye sees with a blueish tint.

The "dark" eye and "bright" eye probably switch around too.

It's usually not anything to worry about but you should be checked for glaucoma.

If you follow a white or gentle glittery colour within the interior nook of your eyes which will cause them to seem vivid er and extra conscious. Using eyeliner at the best and backside lid additionally support to stress the attention. Just do not pass too darkish!! Then it simply appears frightening! lol

that happens to me sometimes. I think it is because one pupil is dlating more then the other. It's uncomfortable when it happens. It usualy happens when I'm exposed to sudden bright light. If it bothers you go see an eye Dr.

nope, you're the only one ;-)

You should see an ophthalmologist, preferrably the bright one. The dull one probably won't be able to do the diagnosis.
