I think I can see the point on the moon where the old one was fixed, Coperincus still shows the radial ropes that spead the load. This was needed before the law of gravity was passed

Let's say i wanna dig a hole from one side of the Earth to the other one, that goes straight through the middle, with proper heat insulation, and the hole is open on both sides, like air could come through. What do you think it would happen if i were to jump in it? I think i would wobble around back and forth like an osscilation and finally stop in the middle, right? But would i get squished by gravity?

I even hear it during talk back, but mostly I hear an occasional single beep at even intervals during NASA space communications and lunar landing footage. What is it and why does it happen? I ask because I can't think of a reason why we hear the beeps together with the astronaut's voices and static.

Is it possible that someone has seen a supernova happen? Or could it be possible that we could see one in the future?

If a supernova happened to with a nearby star the earth could be destroyed? How could this happen if the nearest star is 4 light years away? Thats an unbelievable distance for the explosion to travel! I guess supernovas are very powerful events! Could this have happened to the earth before?

Ive always wondered about space time and all things that are involved. Im also curious to hear what people think about the big bang; what surrounded this infinately dense area of matter that "exploded" into the creation of the universe? It seems to me that there would need to be an area for our universe to expand into. Would this mean that there is an alternate universe that ours has "pushed out of the way" during expansion? Or maybe there are simply an infinite number of universes. It just seems childish to me, to believe that there is an edge to our universe. What's beyond the edge? Nothing? Isnt the void and emptyness of "nothing" at its very essense..... SOMETHING?

With the urge to be living on other planets and meeting alien life, is this just pipe dream or is it destiny for humans to reach the stars.

If so, what effect would we have on alien life if we encounter it, or if we colonize new worlds?

I know space is pretty big, but what if you scream really loud? Like that lady in Mortal Kombat. Or Lola. Times infinity.

I need your help in deciding which model of telescope to get for a semi beginner.
1. Equatorial Mount, Meade Reflctor scope F=910 D=114 (Meade 114EQ-AST)
or
2: Azimuth Mount, Galileo catadioptric scope F=1100 D=102 (Galileo FS-102DX2)
I'm looking for the best general multi purpose use and those are my 2 options.
Thanks!

I'm not a scientist, but very fascinated to see your answers.
If we look out into space, we're looking at the past as it takes so many light years for the light from stars to reach us. So if a star "dies" do we know of this light years later?
