It already has many, many names, all of which are perfectly adequate: "The Moon" and all the variations in the different languages; "Luna" is its official name (and "Terra" is the Earth and "Sol" is the Sun) and it's also called "Selenia", which gave the element selenium its name.

moon is not the name of earth's satellite.... whichever planet has satellites they are being called as their moons only....so you can not rename 'moon'
