if its true that there are stars where light rays travelling from earth has not reached?
If yes then it would mean if we find something faster then light to travel to those stars we would be able to see our past coz the light rays from our past has not been able to reach those stars.
Assuming that there is no loss of light energy in the space.

Something about the flag blowing in the wind? Where are some good *reliable* websites to tell you about this sort of thing?

Come on, we humans like to kid ourselves we have the answers but the Big Bang theory is just pants!

You are telling me at some point there was nothing, absolutely nothing at all in space then for no reason at all 'poof' it all just began (because everything HAS to have a start doesn’t it?) ?

I'm a true believer in science and I am not arguing religion here, there must be an explanation, maybe one we can’t comprehend but surely something can't just appear from nothing? I read once maybe time is a illusion created by us mere humans with limited lifespan and perhaps there was never a start, everything always was but I don't buy that argument, too hippy. Maybe there is nothing, just a consciousness because what would be the point of planets and stars etc if nothing existed to know it was there, if nothing knows something is there then is it? A lone consciousness, a mere imagination that exists in nothing

Obviously I don't have the answers lol but I don't believe in the big bang

I have read that it is strongly argued that the moon is possibily older than the Sun and Earth and that the theory of the Moon being apart of the Earth that broke away after a collision or during formation is not a valued idea since there are materials on the Moon that can't be found on Earth.

If the moon was older than the Sun or Earth what could this mean?
Anyone believe the notion that the Moon is a spaceship

It seems there are a lot of mysteries surrounding the moon and one is the fact it appears there is a possibility that the moon could be hallow. I don't know how much sci credit there is for this notion since it did come from a site arguingg the moon could be a big old spaceship lol.

Is there really a god? And if there is, did "He" put life on other planets too? I mean, how, just how, of all the planets in all the galaxies is this the only planet to have life? Does anyone else agree that there HAS to be other planets with other lifeforms?

I can see why a rocket would need to fly fast in order to stay in orbit. But that's not the question; in such a case the rocket would balance the gravitational pull and not escape it.

If a rocket would fly, somehow, at a constant 1 m/s, wouldn't it (eventually) leave our solar system ?

I am buying my 12 year old son a telescope for Christmas.

It seems that the telescopes that automatically point to celestial objects would be the best option... or am I wrong, and why?

Do they work? Why do they offer telescopes without this feature?

The two I am looking at are the:

Meade NGC-70TCR Telescope for $200

http://shopping.discovery.com/product-57684.html

or the Celestron® StarSeeker™ 80mm GoTo Refractor Telescope for $329.

http://www.telescope.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=257599&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iProductID=257599

Both have the star finder computer on board and look cool.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Thank you!

This is just something to think about for a while. One day after 9-11-01 I started paying more attention to things. One of the things I found interesting was the clock. I took the Star of David and applied it to the clock and began to write down the numbers in the order of the points starting at 12 clockwise to 10. !12-2-4-6-8-10. Moving in the clockwise motion I turned the Star to 1-11. 1-3-5-7-9-11. Writting those numbers below the first row of numbers. So I'm making my way down through the numbers and a distinct sequence began to form. 9-11-1 was moving from left to right all the way down this Tower of numbers until I got back to 12. I estimate that something big is going to happen in 2012. I got the confirmation of something big while watching the Bible code on the Discovery channel. Also read Genisis 11:1-9. That's 9111 backwards. It talks about the Tower of Babel and the great city in the east. Try doing the clock thing yourself and read Genisis. Tell me what you think.

time travel is def. possible! You guys don't see it. If i go back in time and kill myself when i was a kid, then go back to my time that i came from what do you think is actually gonna happen. I'm a walking nobody, people think I'm crazy. My mom would say my kid died years ago, think i was crazy and call the law? NO retards.. its called a paradox. you will be the same person. nothing would happen to you in your current life. in that life when you went back to the past and killed yourself you would be dead in that life sure. But the study of physics would not allow your current life to interrupt, that's impossible. I believe there are 100's of millions of yous in this world world. you would just create a paradox that would kill you in another world. Why do you think we have DE Jae EU? we dream it or something, hahaha no of course not. its your parallel universes connecting We say i must have known you in a past life, or i may have did it in a past life, or i feel like i know you, or known your forever. well guess what? You may just have

Speaking hypothetically: Which would be faster, light or gravity? Light is the fastest known speed in the universe, but has anyone ever measured the speed of gravity? Let's say that the sun were to instantly disappear... again, speaking hypothetically... what would cease to be? The light emitted from the sun to reach our eyes, or would the planet be blown off orbit around the sun before the light even reaches us?

I need to know the history of that constellation, and the stars included in Canis Major (like the name of it, the type of star it is, distance from earth, magnitude, color & surface temperature). Are there sites that can help me?

Thanks =)
