As of right now its the only planet in our solar system that can sustain life. There may be other planets in other solar systems that may sustain life, but we dont have the technolgy to firgure that out yet. However research does indicate there may be a star about 135 million light years away that could sustain life. Its very much like our solar system... So thats why earth is considered the living planet

Earth is the only planet that we know of which currently supports life. We have found fossils on Mars but nothing alive. We have not been able to explore planets outside our Solar System yet.

I guess thats because earths the only planet we know of.This may not be true though.earth is like a dot in this entire galaxie and there could be many more living planets which we do not know of.Besides i believe that right now astronermors are trying to make life possible in mars.
