If water becomes water vapor at 100 degrees C, and is liquid water at any lower temperature, than how does water vapor stay as water vapor when it's at room temperature, wouldn't it be constantly condensing? Does this make any sense?

This is a webassign question. I did all the rest but can't figure this one out.
Here it goes:
A student stands on a bathroom scale in an elevator at rest on the 64th floor of a building. The scale reads 847 N.

(a) As the elevator moves up, the scale reading increases to 952 N, then decreases back to 847 N. Find the acceleration of the elevator (m/s/s).

(b) As the elevator approaches the 74th floor, the scale reading drops to 782 N. What is the acceleration of the elevator?
m/s2
(c) Using your results from parts a and b, explain which change in velocity, starting or stopping, would take the longer time.
stopping
starting

(d) What changes would you expect in the scale readings on the ride back down?

How do we make a simple circuit using these items???
My daughter is doing a science project. She has painted a shoe box black, and has a photo cell inside the box with the wire ends ot the photo cell extending outside the box. She has a divider running half way down the middle of the box. At the end she has a stand to place a ball on. She has painted several different colored balls, and will place them on the stand, and wants to see the different readings using a volt meter using a potentiometer. She has a hole in one end where she will use a flash light to see how it relects/volt meter reads off the colored balls.
We are having lots of problems trying to help her hook up this simple circuit. I thanks you in advance for your input!

I know how to find the element... but I'm confused as to how you find the EC of a compound. Do you add them together? Add the electrons first?

Our teacher sent us home to do this without explaining how and we're all lost! So on behalf of about 15 students, thanks!

In the movie Jurassic Park, there is a scene in which some members of the visiting group are trapped in the kitchen with dinosaurs outside. The paleontologist is pressing against the center of the door, trying to keep out the dinosaurs on the other side. The botanist throws herself against the door at the edge near the hinge. A pivotal point in the film is that she cannot reach a gun on the floor because she is trying to hold the door closed. If the paleontologist is pressing at the center of the door, and the botanist is pressing at the edge about 6 cm from the hinge, estimate how far the paleontologist would have to relocate in order to have a greater effect on keeping the door closed than both of them pushing together have in their original positions.
