I'm looking at the protein bovine rhodopsin.

I'm suppose to find out how far the closest disulfide bond is from the methionine end of the protein.

Currently i'm using .... i'm not sure what the site is actually called, but if you google genbank its the first hit.

Using the CN3D program. It shows me 3d view of the molecule and then spits out the amino acid sequence.

Is there a way i can look at the sequence to figure out where this bond is?

Err...do i look for the closest cystein...and assume thats where the disulfide bond occurs...with another cystein.. I'm a chemical engineer not biochemist....i think i learned somewhere years ago that cysteins form the bonds.....but i'm having no luck googling that.

I'm a little confused on the subject of nonremovable vs. removable discontinuity. I know removable means you could make a graph continuous by substituting in a different value, but does that apply only when a y value exists but just isn't continuous?

For example...if you had function that simplified to:

(x-2) / (x-2)(x+2)

You would factor out (x-2) and have discontinuity at 2. But since no y value for x=2 exists at all, is it removable or nonremovable?

How come when you're getting your DTP (DTap) shot, your arm is extremely sore afterwards? I asked my doctor the question and he didn't seem to answer. Also, if you're getting the Gardasil shot and also your PPD on the same day as your DTP (DTaP) does it cause you to feel sicker? I know that with Gardasil itself, it makes you feel sick, but what about the other shots?
