Convert the following to a logarithmic equation;
a1) 4^-5=1/1024

b1) e^2=7.3891

Convert the following to an exponential equation;
a2) log5 *5= 1

b2) log10 *3= 0.4771

Solve;
a3) log5 *(1/25)=x

b3) log32 *x=1/5

Here is a math trick for you to try.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area
code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

Then write an equation of the inverse relation of y=3x+5.

An elevator weighing 20,000 N is supposed by a steel cable. What is the tension in the cable when the elevator is being accelrated upward at a rate of 3.0 m/s^2.

Would it be: (20,000)(3.0) + (20,000)(9.8) = 26,100N?
