Isn't it frustrating when lazy, dumb kid comes on to this forum and asks 'what are the 3 effects of pollution?' or something similar not realising that the question is arbitrary and the reason a certain number is given is because thats the number of reasons on their course handouts!

Since scientist have measured and found atomically, that clocks on the ground different from those on a jet going thousands of miles per hour when tested later (time was moving slower on the plane),

Does that mean if you invent a plane fast enough (near the speed of light, or equal to it) that you time will stop for you?

If you reach the speed of light and time stops, does that mean that you will live forever without aging?

If you go beyond the speed of light, would you go backward in time to events that had already happened?

What is weird is... if the solution to reaching eternity is going the speed of light, & going faster than leads you backward, how do you reach the future?

By totally stopping? If earth stopped on its axis, instead of going 26,000 mph through space, would the future come to us?

What is the answer?

I found a site that sells like 44 fair to good pear shaped natural emeralds for $220 that retails for $2400 and 6 fair oval rubies for $150 that retails for $1600. I've always thought that owning a bunch of loose gemstones is pretty pimp so I'm thinking of buying them. Is it a scam. What's the catch. The site is www.lg-gems.com.

What would happen if everything were frozen to a stop?
No motion whatsoever? Nothing was moving...,
Earth stopped spinning, atoms stopped whizzing, electrons stopped moving, there were no thoughts?

Would things simply fly apart? But if so, where would the energy to fly apart come from if there was no energy?

Could such a state even exist? Isn't a lack of any energy also a lack of mass? IE, objects at rest are stored energy, but even objects at rest still have moving atoms.

So if everything were totally stopped, all motion at all, would everything be impossibly cold, dark, forever preserved?

Or would they fly apart with nothing to hold them together?
If they fly apart, of course, that would generate motion and violate the no motion rules.

Would earth fall out of its place? To where?

Is it possible for planets and stars to literally hang on nothing at all without "falling"?

I read this somewhere but have not been able to locate the reference. I think it was in " the Skeptical environmentalist" by Bjorn Lomborg. If it is true it would be an interesting fact because empirical values can be assessed for both scientifically.
