If f(x) is one-to-one, can anything be said about g(x)= -f(x)? Is it also one-to-one? Give reasons.

(a) f(x) = x+4 and f(x) = 3x-8
(b) f(x) = x2+2x-8 and f(x) = 3x-2

The reaction

2NO2 >< N2O4
brown colourless

The reaction is at equilibrium..if we were to reduce the volume (ie increase the pressure), what colour would the mixture be BEFORE equilibrium is re-established?

- Transparent under visible light
- Can phosphor any colour
- Preferably a liquid, that can be put in a felt tip pen
- Over the counter ingredients would be best.
- Already tried washing powder

Here in Mozambique we notice that the sea level rises and lowers substantually a few days after the actual spring high- and low tides. Due to ignorence, we've just always asumed that the sealevel will be highest on the actual day of full and new moons.

for my physics coursework, i had to build a simple sensor for measuring the voltage of a light dependent resistor (LDR) that was kept underneath a beaker full of water and a light source over the beaker of water. obviously, the light from the lamp passed through the water in the beaker, to the LDR, and according the voltmeter measured a certain voltage across the LDR.
to measure concentration, i had to add small amounts of about 0.01 grams of Copper sulphate salt each time. the solution turned pale blue to brilliant aqua blue and the light passing through the beaker of coloured solution to the LDR would vary, thereby making the voltage of the LDR vary.
now i have to draw a calibration curve of voltage (on the y axis) and concetration (on the x axis) and measure the sensitivty of my sensor.
my question is (if ur not tired reading all this!) is how would you put my sensor in context? how could it be used or developed? are concentratin sensors that use LDRs used in batteries?

This isn't in pregancy because I'm interested in the supernaturalyness of it. For the past couple of months, I've had two adults, one who I know well, and who has spoke of being slightly extra intuitive (won't say psychic) and one who sees me on a day to day basis swear up and down that I am pregnant. I also had a four year old tell me that I was. Not only that, but animals seem to be drawn to me.
I haven't had any positive proof of it though, just normal preg symptoms, and my waist getting bigger even though I'm trying to loose weight. No pos test, no missed period. Movement that I'm not sure if it's gas or not.
Should I be concerened, going getting blood tests and ultrasounds, acting as if I'm pregnant. Are they detecting something the tests and my natural cycle isnt. (I'm aware that if I were pregnant, it would be bleeding, not a period)
I know my medical facts. Just wondering if anyone knew about the paranormal phenomenon?

If you are a regular listener to the coast to coast am radio show (Jan. 29), you already know. For the rest of you, are you ready to move away from coastal shores, have you a plan to be able to live off the land for at least a year? Do you think you can kill to protect your family as infrastructure and civil order breaks down?
In 10-20 years, the solar system will pass through the center line of the milky way (known as the galactic plain). As it does, the gravity pulses from the black hole in the center will effect the sun and earth. The sun, nearing it's 24th solar cycle will go into overdrive, sending out solar flares of unseen proportions. This , in addition to new stresses on the tectonic plates will cause 1/3 of the world's population (coastal first)to perish in the first week. Another 1/3 won't survive due to lack of medicine, infrastructure, and general breakdown of social order. Those who are left will have to live off the land. source: the horizon project (Brent Miller)
