Will you please ask specific question?
You could refer to Immunology by Hyde from NMS series.

I just took my daughter to see an Immunologist. They are typically a Dr. that diagnosis someone with an autoimmune disease, also allergies.

I am a little confused on your question. I think that is what you are asking though. I am to sure what else you need to know. I would think that you could look it up & find the meaning.

Are you in Medical School??

Well, hope that I could help alittle!

Good Luck with whatever you doing.

Tiff :)

You must have finished your assignment by now! Anyways i would recommend Kuby's immunology to have a general idea first and then to other specialised books later. Tons of luck saim!

Father of immunology is Louis Pasteur.
IMMUNOLOGY is of two types they are:
INNATE IMMUNITY&ACQUIRED IMMUNITY
innate imuunity refers to immunity by birth and with out the interreption of the antigens."immunity of self"
acquired immunity means immunity got either from mother / immunity developed due to the entry of foreign particles.
INNATE &ITS TYPES
natural innate: immunity by birth
artificial innate: due to first entry of antigens of ones body.
ACQIURED &ITS TYPES::
natural acquired: entry of anti bodies from the other body in which the anti bodies synthesis takes place.ex:"collostrum"
first milk of mother given to young ones.
artificial acquired:
tansfer anti bodies of an antigen where the synthesis takes place in an other organism
ex:anti bodies of tetany disease are developed in the horse body
later these are trnsfered to the humans.....
