If you are a regular listener to the coast to coast am radio show (Jan. 29), you already know. For the rest of you, are you ready to move away from coastal shores, have you a plan to be able to live off the land for at least a year? Do you think you can kill to protect your family as infrastructure and civil order breaks down?
In 10-20 years, the solar system will pass through the center line of the milky way (known as the galactic plain). As it does, the gravity pulses from the black hole in the center will effect the sun and earth. The sun, nearing it's 24th solar cycle will go into overdrive, sending out solar flares of unseen proportions. This , in addition to new stresses on the tectonic plates will cause 1/3 of the world's population (coastal first)to perish in the first week. Another 1/3 won't survive due to lack of medicine, infrastructure, and general breakdown of social order. Those who are left will have to live off the land. source: the horizon project (Brent Miller)

Um, sorry, but gravity acts three dimensionally, therefore the black hole at the galactic center will exert no more force on the solar system if we are in the galactic plane than it does now when we are slightly above or below it. Increasing solar flares may cause a small amount of cell phone interference, but personally I try not to devolve into a canabalistic survival state just because I can't get coverage to talk to my stock broker.

Lord, this is such a broad assumption in which everything must go perfectly right, that it borders on hilarity. I mean, "Another 1/3 will die of lack of medicine." First off, this shouldnt have been included in your writing. Second, this is just ludacris, you have the numbers to show that? Governemtn has 23 million dollars of morhpine alone stocked up for a nation disaster.

I live half-way up a mountain, twenty five miles from the Pacific Ocean. So this sounds great to me. In twenty years I'll own beach front property.
