Who else feels we need to do something about Global Warming? It seems like a bigger issue than we realize. I live in RI and so far there has been no snow this winter. Two years ago, we used every last one of our snows days and had to go to school into our summer vacation time. It has been EXTREMEMLY mild this winter and it's beginning to worry me. I got a new winter coat for Christmas and have only had to wear it twice so far! Does anyone know anything I can do to start to make a difference. Also, what kind of Earth friendly jobs are out there that you can get as a 15 -year old (going on 16)? Any insight is greatly valued!

Ken's father Bil,was a baker. Out of his usual mourning batch of choocolate chip cookies, Bill burned the first 2 dozen chip cookies. He gave half of what was left to Ken to take to school. He wrapped up half of the remaining cookies and gave them to the gas station crew next door. He gave half of what was left to the policeman on the beat.If Bill had only 7 cookies left, how many cookies were in the batch of chocolate chip cookies?

I'm teaching a very basic chemistry class at a local college, and I'm looking for ideas to intergrate the theory and math with something that occurs in my students daily lives. This is the first time I've taught this course, and I was only given a week heads-up, so any help would be very appreciated. Does anyone have any topics they might like to see covered, or ones that would be related to chemistry?

I am a long time listener and big time fan of the Art Bell radio Show. People have came on that show talking about alien sites and being abducted. Do you believe those things are real. I never underestimate the universe. I sometimes wonder what else is out there. Alot of people think it's crazy, but think about it. Where did we really come from? who created the solar system? How was the stars made? Where did the sun come from? Why or How was the earth exactly made to be the third planet from the sun? Why are the planets in the order that they are? If there are no other life forms, Why are there any other planets? Something for the mind. I want to hear what your thoughts are. Science was my best and favorite subject in school. Got awards in that subject.

I'm teaching a very basic chemistry class at a local college and need some very easy to set up and perform experiments. I do not have access to a lab, so the simpler the better. If it can be done with household objects, that would be fantastic.
