I am a long time listener and big time fan of the Art Bell radio Show. People have came on that show talking about alien sites and being abducted. Do you believe those things are real. I never underestimate the universe. I sometimes wonder what else is out there. Alot of people think it's crazy, but think about it. Where did we really come from? who created the solar system? How was the stars made? Where did the sun come from? Why or How was the earth exactly made to be the third planet from the sun? Why are the planets in the order that they are? If there are no other life forms, Why are there any other planets? Something for the mind. I want to hear what your thoughts are. Science was my best and favorite subject in school. Got awards in that subject.

Hello, sexy.
The laws of probability say that among other stars like our own, with a solar system similar to ours, life must exist.
The problem is distence and where to look.
With so many billions of suns orbiting in our own galaxy the milky way, and soo many billions of other galaxies with more or less the same amount of billions of suns with solar systems, there most be life some where else.
Just see how many millions of different forms of life live on this tiny speck of grain. From microbes to whales, this planet is full of life.
Just hope that one day we find them or they find us, maybe they may be asking the same question.
Are we the only planet with inteligent life?

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Do not use Art Bell as your source of science information.

Aliens are NOT visiting Earth or abducting people. That is just crazy talk.

Aliens may well exist on some planet orbiting another star far from our Sun, but even if they do, we have no knowledge of them at all.

Do we have any proof either way? No. However, our galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars and there are also hundreds of billions of galaxies so I feel that there is a greater chance than most people believe. I also don't "believe" we've been visited. Imagine if there are civilizations so advanced that they could engineer interstellar travel. Now imagine yourself looking at an anthill. Would you be tempted to give them art and science? probably not. In fact some people would be inclined to step on them. I'm not , however, ruling out that it hasn't happened.

I admit to being equal to everyone else's knowledge, as to your question of life on other planets : I do not know. Nonetheless, as for there being intelligent life on the other known planets within this solar system, I think overwhelmingly not.

As for life on other stellar planetary systems, I'm still swayed strongly toward a no. I think that God began life on this planet exclusively, with the original couple as reported concerning the events in the garden of Eden. Other than God the Creator, His Son, and the vast throng of His Angelic sons, I think that no intelligent life exists beyond Earth. I wonder what His purpose is for the other planets? It will be fascinating to see, as He becomes creatively active again toward them.

I believe that there is many things beyond earth...the universe is so big you wouldn't really know...Earth is only part of the Milky Way Galaxy there are probably more galaxies out there with other planets too. But we just haven't discovered them yet.

Yes I'm sure there are other life forms but I doubt that they have visited us. if they have then their technology is far beyond ours.
