i think it was like a momentum thing, with a similar concept to a newtons cradle. if you've seen the movie "Robots", it was part of the crosstown express where its a wheel running along to wires and it twists and whatnot. i know it was available to buy because my dad had one but he can't remember what it's called. anyone know what it was called?

Ok, Edison was a great genius, yet, there was also Tesla, whom I´ve read had worked with Edison. Well, I know Tesla came to the US already bearing a Phd, but Edison had none. I heard Edison stole most of Teslas ideas and then marketed them earning all the credit for Teslas discoveries. Is that remotely true?

I was on a flight watching the computer screen display info about speed, altitude, etc. This was on a clear calm evening. The temperature at 15,000 feet was 17°F (-7°C). Surface temperature was 54°F (12°C). Using the lapse rate of 3.6°F per 1000 feet, shouldn't the temperature have been much colder, like 0°F?

I've been thinking about projecting images onto the night sky for a special event sometime next year. I'm willing to spend any amount for existing technology (even by the billion).

Whether you believe God or the big bang theory, I want to hear opinions on if you think there have to be other planets exactly like ours out there with some form of life on it. I heard there are so many galaxies that we don't even know of and millions of planets we don't know about.
