Use the vertical line test to determine whether or not the graph is a graph of a function. Mark true for a function or false for not a function.

If you were to make a small graph with a point at (0,-5) and another at (2,5) and draw a line between them how would you answer the question? True or False? Please explain why if you can. Thanks.

a) y = x + 1/x
b) y = -x^5 + 3x
c) y = x^4 -2x^2 + 6
