to the erupting of my volcano?
I am in an elementary education chemistry class and we are making volcanos that can be used in our classrooms someday but for the assignment part I have to turn in a reason as to why these chemicals give off the reaction they do when mixed.

To make my volcano I mixed baking soda, yeast, water and dish soap together and got no reaction, but when i added the peroxide, the reaction rose and gave the erupting effect. I tried leaving out one ingredient each time but the reaction wouldn't work when i did, so i know each ingredient has a purpose. Please help me with this problem! i have been searching for over an hour and still have no idea.

thanks!

Use the following information to calculate the mass lost when 2 moles of hydrogen atoms fuse with 2 neutrons to form 1 mole of helium.

The molar mass of hydrogen 1 over1 H= 1.00782522 g

The molar mass of a neutron 1over0 n= 1.00807134 g

The molar mass of helium 4over2 He= 4.00260361 g

The balanced nuclear reaction is 2 1over1 H+ 2 1over0 n --> 4over2 He + energy

Question B.

According to Einstein's question, conversion of one gram of mass yields 9*10^10kJ of energy. How much energy is released in the above reaction?

I know this is a lot of work but any help I meen any help will be greatly cherished and apretiated

A light is suspended at a height h above the floor. The illumination at the point P is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the point P to the light and directly proportional to the cosine of the angle theta. How far from the floor should the light be to maximize the illumination at the point P?

Additional information:
Point O is the point directly below the hanging light.
Point P is 10m from point O.
r is the distance from the light to point p.
