I heared that hurricanes are always given women's names and taiphoons men's names why is this? don't tell me that they are more destructive that's why they're named after women :)) there is a scientific explanation for it.
and also what is the difference between the two?

It was around 1 am (I believe) on a Friday morning about two weeks ago. I'm curious to know if anyone else was fortunate enought to see it. I live in the Winston-Salem/Clemmons area of North Carolina.

It was very obviously huge and bright.

Thanks.

what is the scientific reason for winter being cold, and summer hot, surely if its sunny in say.. november then it should be warm? (daughter asked me and all my science lessons went out the window!!)

My g/f tends to ejaculate in a great stream but we are undecided if this is urine based or indeed ejaculate. If so, does anyone know where female ejaculate comes from??

Our shared household is very concious about not wasting electricty, and recycling etc. From studying Physics up to A Level I'm pretty sure that when a kettle or tv etc is NOT on itself (eg the 'boil' switch or 'on' button is not pressed, but the plug is in the socket with the socket switch on, there is no electricity being used as the circuit for 'boiling the water' or 'switch the tv on' is not completed.

Could somebody please confirm if leaving the main switches at the plugs on uses or does not use/waste electricity?

Ok, Im trying to create a smart way of solving this. I have a point on a line lets say (3,2) and it cross's thru the origin (0,0). So that means the distance from 0,0 to 3,2 is 3.6055~. What is the point on the same line when the distance is 5.40825~ (Increase of 50%). This function will be used in a program. Note: All my lines will ALWAYS cross thru the origin.

I searched all over for this but cant find an answer. A way I solved this was created a loop that used the equation of the line and looped thru it increasing or decreasing the X till its distance was greater or equal to what I desired. There has to be a simple (or semi complex) way of properly solving this. Thank you for your time.

All this talk of do you believe in other dimensions is silly, where do you think all the socks go, their shape is the most conjusive shape to interdimensional travel and so they travel a whole lot, not merely staying in another dimension but moving through lots in their lifetime, which is infinite.

I wonder if a sockwas big enough could it become pan dimensional like the mice in Hitch Hiker, ie if it filled one or more dimensions up could it live in more than one. If so maybe we already live in several dimensions, maybe every atom in our body is a seperate dimension and live entirely acording to its own path, and all our atoms are changing dimensions every moment, oops me legs gone again, no there it is, ho ho

I was jus wondering if u noe how to do this question ..

The Muhibbah Company is a manufacturer of Cylindrical aluminiun tins . The manager plans to rdues the cost of production . The production cost is propotional to the are of the aluminium sheet used . The volume that each tin can holds is 1000cm cubed { 1 litre } .

1 ) Detrenima the value of h { height } , r
{radius } and hence calculate the ratio of h/r aka height over radius , when the total surface area of each tin is minimum .

2 ) The top and bottom pieces of the tin of height ,h cm are cut from the square-shaped aluminium sheets . Determine the value of r , h , and hence calculate the ratio of h over r so that the total are of the aluminium sheet used for making the tin is minimum .

I really need this urgently .. do you know the answer ? and the method of calculation ? I need 2 methods of answering for each questions . Many thanks in advance .. { dateline is on thursday { 9 nov 06 }
