I find lavender oil to be a really good, natural cure for headaches. Just put a couple of drops on the ends of your fingers and rub gently into your temples, giving yourself a little massage.

If that doesn't work, try something like Syndol (don't know about the spelling but it's a medication for tension headaches). Sometimes your headache stems from a tense neck and this will take the pressure off your neck muscles, thus relieving your headache.

Hope it works for you.

A headache (medically known as cephalalgia, sometimes spelled as cephalgia) is a condition of pain in the head; sometimes neck or upper back pain may also be interpreted as a headache. It ranks amongst the most common local pain complaints.

Headaches have a wide variety of causes, ranging from eye strain, sinusitis and tension to life-threatening conditions such as encephalitis, meningitis, cerebral aneurysms and brain tumors (although up to 99% of headaches have a benign cause). When the headache occurs in conjunction with a head injury the cause is usually quite evident; however, many causes are more unclear. The most common type of headache is a tension headache. Some experience headaches when dehydrated, or suffering from caffeine withdrawal symptoms.

Treatment of uncomplicated headache is usually symptomatic with over-the-counter painkillers such as aspirin, paracetamol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen, although some specific forms of headaches (e.g. migraine) may demand other, more suitable treatment.

you can't find a miracle cure but relief from the pain. What about taking pain killers, asprins etc. The other method of relief is to use your right thumb and press in between the thumb and the index finger of your left hand and massage it in a circular motion for 10 mins. This is the accupoints for headache.

As others have mentioned plenty of water should help. I was also advised by a friend to try 4Head that is available in local chemists. It doesn't cure the headache completely but does give instant relief, and doesn't involved taking chemicals into the body. Tiger Balm rubbed in does the same, but is more difficult to obtain.

Do hope this helps you as much as it does me to the extent that I always carry some with me.

Most headaches are a result of dehydration. Hence you get a banging headache when you are hungover ... alcohol dehydrates you severely!

Try drinking lots of water ... (at least 2 litres a day should be the norm) and if you have been sweating a lot (i.e. at the gym etc), which will cause you to lose salts as well as fluids, then get some rehydration salts like dioralyte from the chemist.

Hope it helps : )

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.
