A light is suspended at a height h above the floor. The illumination at the point P is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the point P to the light and directly proportional to the cosine of the angle theta. (a) How far from the floor should the light be to maximize the illumination at the point P? r = distance from Light to P. h = distance from light to floor below. There are 10 meters from point P to a point O (spot on floor directly below light) (b) State the function you need to maximize or minimize and what the interval of admissible values is for the independent variable. (c) Verify your answers by testing all relevent critical points and the behavior at the ends of the interval.

OK, Since we all know that the earth was spinnin cool until the moon ran into it and put this planet on "BAKE" and then with it's slower rotation, all the water molocules floatin round de air began fallin an made de ocean. Now with heat, light, water and earth elements, a little wiggle and OMG the whole earth upstartsta bubble in a boiling mess of life. So, we know this fo'shizzy. But yo know what I done Wizzy? I try-n fizzle out how the done dizzy gets away wit da mo-hizzle-hizzy?
No, that didn't make sense!
I'm wunderin if we got just a long ride in front of use on the way to the sun. Kinda like a quarter rollin down the damn funnel chute of a charity "Hey throw your money in here and watch your money spin round and round untill it's gone never to be seen again, thingy." How come we aren't taking more drastic steps to contact an alien Taxi cab?
Tell me, How does this make you feel?

We all know that everything that is matter takes space of something. My house takes space of the city, which takes space of the state, which takes space of the country, which take space of earth, solar system, galaxy, universe, and etc. Is it possible that our uncomprehenbile vast universe is no more significant than something the size of an atom??

By 'known universe' I mean all that can be ascribed to the original Big Bang, whether observable (eg. stars, planets) or not (parts of the universe from from where no light has reached us yet).
Or in other words, what if the Big Bang phenomenon is but one in a billion that happened (or is happening) with regularity within a larger 'super universe'? My imagination is that these billions (trillions?) of Big Bangs could conceivably form a structure similar to a large galaxy, or planetary system, or one of the many structures we observe at the subatomic and superatomic level.
