Seems like I seem to be suffering from one and can't focus on my homework. Why is Economics so boring? It is common-sense made extremely complicated. Gaaaaaa!

One more thing i am an international student from France at University of Arizona. i am an engineering major, so i don't have to take this class, but because of my advisor i am stuck with this class and i don't know anything. I am looking for a tutor but they are too expensive so if someone knows about this subject and can help me out, i'll appreciate it. email me at kenilabcl@yahoo.com if interested. Thank you in advance

I've never had a license since I have seizures. Now believe me it stinks especially when you run out of cigarettes at 2 am but I'd rather get a ride than possibly wipe out an entire family & possibly myself. I was at the doctors the other day & I was talking to another patient who mentioned that he drove. I asked him how he got his license & he said it's very easy all you have to do is tell the doctor you've been seizure free for a year. So I asked the doctor if it was true & he said yes. My question is how can it be so easy to get away with that? Aren't doctors & insurance companies smarter than that?

A 80 kg football player is stationary when a 100 kg linebacker hits him moving at 8 m/sec. After the collision, the linebacker is moving in the same direction at 1 m/sec. What is the speed of the first player after the collision? What percent of the energy is lost during the collision? Can you explain your answer?

An amusement park ride consists of a large vertical cylinder that spins about its axis sufficiently fast that any person inside is held up against the wall when the floor drops away. The coefficient of static friction between person and wall is Mu(s) and the radius of the cylinder is R.

a) show that the maximum period of revolution necessary to keep the person form falling is T = (4pi^2RMu(s) / g)^1/2
b) Obtain a numerical value for T assuming that R = 4.00m and Mu(s) = 0.400. How many revolutions per minute does the cylinder make?

I have to figure out how to do this by using the fractional exponents, not by converting the first terms to a cube root. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would appreciate. This is not some attempt at homework help, so please no "Do your own homework" wisecracks. I am reading a book on algebra and it doesn't explain how to do this.

If a couple has the genetic make up making it a 4% chance that any child they have will inherit a particular disorder,
What are the odds of them having 4 children, two with the disorder.
How do you come to your figure?
My guess is .48%, or approx 5 out of a thousand.

How do you adjust your formula if a boy is 4 times more likely to inherit the condition than a girl 1% chance for a girl) & the only boy has the condition and one of the three girls has the condition.
My guess is on this is .18%, or approx 2 out of a thousand.

Ok, I know this sounds gross, but Im a 19 year old male, and i looked under my wooden bed, and noticed a few t-shirts that have been under there for at least 4 months, I forgot i threw them under there, and I seen a little brownish bug on one of my white t-shirts, the bug was brownish, and it was long. The whole bug was probably no bigger very small crumb - It was very skinny but long! what could it be?

this seems like it should be easy but i have no idea how to do this without the initial speed.
