If the basis of all life , diseases etc is now believed to be the " genetic pool " . that there are inactive genes whose combination could not survive enviromental demands there by were not lost but are still part of the genetic pool . it is then possible given the right conditions to activate these genes to produce a different product from the current product( animals/humans etc

Who factored in the time concept to validate evolution ? Does the discovery of inert genetic pool where possible combination are possible with the right activation agents not overtaken this thinking.

I am at a local zoo studying the monkey exhibit for my physical anthropology class. I had finally finished recording my observations on my laptop when I began to forage for my keys in my pocket.
In a struck of most unholy bad luck, my keys got stuck on a lose thread in my pocket, so I began to tug, alas I gained no ground. I pulled harder and harder until finally the lose strand became free vaulting my hand into the air and launching my keys between the bars of the monkey exhibit, and into the canopy, where they were stolen by a mischevious monkey.
In a panic I tried to coax the monkey to through them back at me, as if he was tossing poo. But no such luck. I have looked around and around for a zoo employee but cant find one.
The most terrible part is I just got promoted to manager for the night club I work at, and I am to open the club tonight as my first official managerial task. I am screwed! I cant show up and say, "sorry I am late, a monkey stole my keys".

Should I climb in?

I need help in a project that is due on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. My project is to find 20 products that have at least one element from the perodic table like iron, nickel, gold, copper, silver, sodium, calcium, etc.... The product should contain a pure sample of the element, compound, or mixture. I need evidence that element is in the product by having a label. I need products that can be found at home. I need the label as evidence that the element is in the product.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH QUESTION B, I just dont understand logs law or anything to do with it:)
Can anyone actually explain to me how this mathematics question was does as I had it in an engineering test but couldn't do it:
The power gain of an amplifier relates input power, Pi, to output power, Po, by;
Power gain= 10log(small 10) Po/Pi decibles (dB)
a) As part of the assesment of a new system you have been asked to find the power gain when Po=15W and Pi=300mW
B) you also have to find out what the output power will be if input power is 400mW and the power gain is 20dB.

Please may someone explain this to me step by step as it completely mindblows me, thanks to anyone who can help me it will be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone :)
