Let's say you have a number like 12. Would it be true to say there's a zero in the hundreds place? If so, is there a calculation I could perform on the number 12 that would yield 0? What if I had a more complicated number like 121.0021, is there a calculation I could perform on this number that would yield 2 if I wanted to know the digit in the tens place or thousandths place?

I am a student in college with a very good GPA and am a very good student. However, I go to a pretty lame school, and I seriously under estimated the science department and over estimated my degree of knowledge in chemstry. I am having a hard time understanding what is going on in class and what is being ask of me. I know it's mosly because I do not understand the lingo needed as a chemist. can any tell me a web site I can visit that can help me learn chemistry real quick even if is babyfied.

Just not so babyfied I being told what a test tube is! LOL

mainly I am having trouble with getting formulas mixed up with equations when asked to write them.

I get confused about isotopes

and generally what is expected of a Chemistry 101 student finishing this course with an (Well Earned) not given A!.

1) Create an integral that gives the exact value for (1^2+2^2+3^2+4^2+...+n^2)/(n^3)

2) Find the limit, as x approaches 5, of (2x/(x-5)) x the integral of [sin(t)]/t dt.
I think this has something to do with as f(a)-f(x)/(a-x)=f'(a) or something like that. I heard that it is 0 or undefined.

3) Evaluate the integral of square root of (b^2-x^2) dx from the interval (b/square root of 2) to b. I need to show the graph and find an exact value without using a calculator.

You don't have to answer all questions but 1 would be nice.
