If there is, then would not some of those other close-lying universes have an influence on the development of our own universe? Could not the eventual overlapping of universes have an effect on the longevity of our universe? Could not the additional mass added to our own universe by the penetration of foreign galaxies (from other universes) precipitate the contraction of our universe? And, would not the three-dimensional meeting of several universes mark the limits of expansion of at least one of them (perhaps the one that was stretched the thinnest) so that it would then start to contract? Would not this contraction then suck galaxies from other universes toward its center so that the resulting “big bang” would result in material from several universes being fused together and then spewed back out into space, resulting in an even diffusion of material throughout the universes of "the total universe?"
Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

do you see any mistakes in this?
lets start with the probability of an event (any event) occuring,
we will call this probability p

then, it follows, that the probability of this event NOT occuring is (1-p)

probabilities of independent events multiply, so the chance that this event does not occur in N independent trials is (1-p)^n

and, then the probability that this event WILL occur in at least one of those N trials is 1-(1-p)^n

the interesting part comes now, when we set the probability of the event occuring to ZERO, but give it an infinite number of chances.
logic would tell you that if an event has zero probability-absoulutely no chance of ever occuring, then it will never happen, no matter how long you wait. it is impossible.

or is it?

Using the probability equations found above to calculate this strange scenario, you need to take the limit of the expression as p approaches zero and n approaches infinity. the equation becomes

Solve: 4/x^2-2x-3 = [-x/x-3] [-1/x+1]
I have:
Step 1: 4/(x+1) (x-3) = [-x/(x-3)] [-1/(x+1)]
Step 2: 4/(x+1) (x-3) ÷ (x+1) (x-3)
Step 3: [-x/(x-3)] [-1/(x+1)] ÷ (x+1) (x-3)
Step4: 4 = [-x (x+1)] - [1(x-3)]
Step 5: 4 = -x² - 1x – 1x + 3
Step 6: 4 = - x² - 2x + 3
Step 7: x² + 2x + 1 = 0
Ok where did I goof up?

Since both male and female homosexuals do not procreate, they are not able to pass on genes that would ensure their survival. This would also mean that any mutation that would incline an individual genetically to homosexuality would not be passed on; and the chances of mass numbers of mutations occurring during one period of time are impossible. The only conclusion that one can draw from this is that homosexuality is sociologically and psychologically determined - do you agree?
Thank you for your help.

As the Laurentide Ice Sheet began to melt from its furthest point south in OH, PA, and NY, why did the melt water first flow to the Mississippi River and the Hudson River since the water does not do that now?
a.) The Great Lakes basins and the St. Lawrence River had not yet formed
b.) the Great Lakes basins and the St. Lawrence River were still filled with ice
c.) moraines and glacial debris blocked the water from flowing to the St. Lawrence when the glaciers first started to melt
d.) Sea level was 300 feet lower and this controlled the flow of the melt water
