If you're planning on going into the petro-chemical industry you can't go wrong with an acredited school in the ArkLaTex region. Most of these schools have strong ties with the industry which is a big help with job placement. The U of A and OSU have good connections with Phillips, Conoco, Exxon, and Union Carbide.

If your interested in old line chemical industry. I think some of the schools in the east have good connections there like the Pratt Institute in Pa.

well, there are many good ones, and it sort of depends on if you are talking undergraduate or graduate programs

it also depends on if you are thinking of a petro-chemical industry focus or not

*Louisianna State University
*Georgia Tech
*Texas A&M
*MIT
*Cal Tech
*Carnegie Melon

depending on your particular interest, ability to pay, etc
