Pregnancy - February 2007

Ok so we got snow today lots of it.. fluffy white snow beautiful for sledding i want to go so bad .. but dont know if its ok.. does anyone know if there is a chance it could hurt my baby.. i didnt go sledding my last pregnancy so not sure this time around.. its really tempting to do but i dont want to hurt the baby.. any advice?

I am 30 weeks preg with my first child. While I was getting ready this morning, I leaked about about 2 tablespoons of clear thin liquid, it looked and felt like water. I freaked out, my husband called the dr and all the dr said was she didnt think it was amniotic fluid, but if I soaked a pad within the hr, to go to the doc immediately. I only had a little bit more, and have been fine the rest of the day. What did I leak out and do you think this could happen again? I have had no pain and my baby has been just as crazy active as ever, last night my uterus did get really hard twice. Like I said, this is my first preg and I just want to make sure things are fine. Please help! Thanks!

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby.

On and off I have dull menstrual-like cramps everyday in my uterus area. My stomach muscles ache like I did a thousand ab crunches too.

Will my uterus and stomach feel this way all through my pregnancy? It feels like I am going to get my period everyday, my OB said it's normal, but does it last the entire 9 months?!

I had sex with my girlfriend a week ago(Tuesday). She said she was supposed to have her period this past Sunday (5 days later), but it hasn't started yet. We had sex Saturday night and there was a little blood afterwards, but since then all there has been is a little pink. She scared that she might be pregnant, because her period is pretty regular. She is a little stressed at work and over this and I was wondering if that could cause her period to be late? She took a pregnancy test last night and it was negative.

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I haven't gained any weight and I still fit into my jeans even though I feel like a big bloated hippo. My belly is still flat and I am shocked at 4 months that I can't see a difference in my stomach.

well i had unprotective sex and i kno i shouldnt of, but i did and i cant take that back. well i had sex about a month ago. but i came on my period but it was a few days early it was kinda normal i think now a week after my period im starting to feel really werid. i have acheing pains at the bottem of my back, tops of my legs ache, my nipples are sore, my bellys boated, came out in spots what never happens, headaches and feel light headed. and the other night i had a nose bleed for the first time in my life (don't kno if thats anything to do with it). so im sort of confused. do you think i could be pregnant? has any one who's been pregnant felt like that before? thanks

I had my first u/s at 8 weeks and everything was great, the baby had an excellent heart beat at 12 weeks too.

Now I am 15 weeks pregnant and I am still afraid that when I go and get my 16th week ultrasound that the baby will be dead or deformed.

Is it normal to feel this way? I know I am healthy and the baby should be fine, but a part of me is so afraid to hear bad news during my ultrasound.

Any advice?

In regards to my question yesterday about the bleeding and cramping i would just like to say a big thank you too you all that answered. I did take your advice and i went to my gp. He feels that it was a threatened misscarage but feels i should be fine, i am off for an ultrasound today just to be sure but with all that i got to hear my baby's heartbeat! It was the most amazing thing to hear! Happy as Larry as the doc said! So again, thank you all so very much, i am truly grateful to you all that took the time to incourage me to do what was necessary, you are all fantastic!!!!

Some of these women are saying that they smoked during pregnancy and that everything is okay. One person even said that her baby is 10 months old and is fine. Uh-ever heard of learning disabilites? Stunted growth? Problems later in life? Things you may not even know about yet!!!

I like how one answerer stated that NICOTINE IS TRANSFERED through breastmilk. It's abuse! She also made the point of how these women hold their children right after smoking and like she said even if they go outside to smoke...THEY STILL SMELL LIKE IT. I don't think these women are very smart. I bet they looked great too- 9 months pregnant smoking a cigarette!

During your regular prenatal checkups, did your doctor ever tell you that you need to slow down on your eating because your baby is getting too big? My doctor said that to me yesterday. She said that he is around 1.5 pounds (I'm 22 weeks) and that is too big. I don't see anything wrong with having a big healthy baby? I eat very healthy and at regular intervals. No junk food, plenty of milk & water, and lots of protein. Has this happened to anyone else?

i am quite overweight, i've been watching what i eat and i've been staying at the weight i was. but i've noticed that my belly seems to be bloating a little soon. 8 weeks i've heard is too early, but i was preggo before which ended in a miscarriage early on. please help.

If I had my period on Feb. 12-19th and had a fallopian tube test done the 21st,...but have been spotting (only when I wipe - light brownish pinkish color) for a couple of days,....but my chart says I am suppose to be ovulating from the 26th-2nd of March what could the spotting be from??? This week me and my husbad are having sex every other day since its suppose to be my ovulation period. The spotting is definetly not from him as I noticed it before we actually had sex. Very curious to know what yoru thoughts ont his might be. I am suppose to get my next period on March 17th so its way to early to have another period not to mention that its only been 2 1/2 weeks since my last. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Did your second baby weigh more than your first? If so how much? I am pregnant with my second child, but it has been 11 years. My first weighed 8# 9.5oz I hope my second isn't too much bigger. I always heard second babies are bigger.

My husband and I have decided for the time being we dont wanna know the sex of our baby. My mom was telling about little silly tests to determine the sex? However she never told me what the Draino test was. I dont know how to do it and would like to do it with my husband. If anyone knows what this test is or any other ones please let me know.
