I am 30 weeks preg with my first child. While I was getting ready this morning, I leaked about about 2 tablespoons of clear thin liquid, it looked and felt like water. I freaked out, my husband called the dr and all the dr said was she didnt think it was amniotic fluid, but if I soaked a pad within the hr, to go to the doc immediately. I only had a little bit more, and have been fine the rest of the day. What did I leak out and do you think this could happen again? I have had no pain and my baby has been just as crazy active as ever, last night my uterus did get really hard twice. Like I said, this is my first preg and I just want to make sure things are fine. Please help! Thanks!

It means u just have a few more weeks and u are ready to go for delivery. When u wipe blood, then get to the hospital, u are in labor then and your water will break (alot of water)
U just had a mucus leak which is normal at this stage.

Well the only time I experienced something like that was the night I went in to have my baby. I stood up quickly and I felt like I was flooding but not a lot of fluid came out (it was clear as well) when we went to the hospital the nurse said I peed on myself, but the Dr. said my water was leaking but hadn't broke. I don't know if that helped or not. Good Luck and Congratulations
PS what concerns me is that u are only 30 weeks and if you are days away from delivery like some of the other posts suggested I think it is still a little early for labor. If it would make u feel better to go to the hospital then go ahead it is better to be save than sorry.

That happened to me. Hun when your water breaks, you'll know it. I was sitting on the couch, told my husband I think I had to use the bathroom. It felt like Loki(My son) kicked really hard and I felt more then heard a pop and all of a sudden the front of the couch was soaked, even on the way to the hospital I needed a towel under me because I was leaking all over. The clear liquid is normal, unless it's a lot.

wow! i cant believe your dr said that, it is almost like they just dont feel like seeing another patient today. the same thing happened to me and my doctor freaked out that i didnt come in right away. i woke up one morning thinking i wet the bed a little (it was not a lot at all!!) i continued to slowly leak all that morning, but not enough to fill up a pad, it just so happened that i had a regular doc appt that day and when i went in, she sent me straight up to labor and delivery. go to the hospital and get checked to be sure, if your baby is sitting in your belly without any amniotic fluid they could get a serious infection. good luck.

Dont Panic, things are fine, you will make it worse if you start to panic. It probably was your anmiotic fluid, but that can happen and then some people wont go into labour for days after. Sounds like your baby is ready to come out. I would go to the hospital anyways, and get a check up to make sure the baby isnt under any stress. Take care of yourself. Don't worry... it happens to me all the time. Just like your first response says, you are going to be wetter and have discharge and sometimes leak a little fluid. It happens to me sometimes in the morning and also a little while after having sex. Like your dr. says if you experience a large amount of leakage then go get it checked out. Otherwise, it is normal.

to be honest i have had that same fluid like stuff come out freaked me out but i asked the doc and he said it was just like some type of discharge which i have never thought that it could or would look like that but i guess he was right it lasted my whole pregnancy so i had to wear a panty liner the whole time it sucked. i would just keep a close eye on it and if it gets worse or u bleed or anything like that go to the e r also try not to stress about it and just be really careful good luck

Sounds like maybe you peed a little bit. The baby probably gave you a good kick in the bladder. Don't worry about it, you did everything right. The hardening of your uterus could be Braxton Hicks contractions. Sounds like you are in the final leg of this pregnancy. Good luck and don't stress. You're doing great!

you will leak alot when you are pregnant like your doctor said if it soaks up a pad then you worry it will happen more as your belly gets bigger it wasn't amniotic fluid it was just fluid kinda of pee but not pee it's hard to explain

It happened to me a lot too. You are so much wetter while pregnant and it is scarey when it happens. As long as you feel the baby move and aren't losing a lot of fluid you are ok.
