Pregnancy - November 2006

Hi all. Can u help answer my querry , when my perscription of contraception pill ran out (took last pill 14th Oct) i didnt get a repeat as my hubby and i would like another baby and want to start trying beginning of next yr . I have only been back on pill a yr and havent had a period since coming off . The thing is we had unprotected sex on 4th November could i have fallen pregnant or am i safe can anyone answer this question really hope someone can put my mind at ease either way .

what does it feel like. I was doing sit-ups about 9 or 10 and I think that I might be 5 months but don't know because negitive test an period still comes on but still feel like am pregnant an belly has gotten bigger an hard.an after the sit -ups felt like my insides were locking up and spazoming is this normal an after a little while it calmed down and stoped.What do you think. no rude answers.

what if your 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant, but before you would get sad and took pills, but then i stopped, and today i took one pill called kava, and i know i should take care of myself, would this or could this affect the baby at only three weeks and 6 days.....

also symptoms for this long how should you feel

Of something going wrong at the birth or after? I have manage to get to every milestone take a breath and then I hear something else, be it stillbirth or cot death. I am a complete nervous wreck!

I feel as if im going mad somedays, I am on my own with these feelings? Im so obssesed with her kicks and I know each day is a day nearer im nearly 30 weeks, and praying.

I have my 22 week ultrasound. And each week I weigh myself at home. I notice that if I weigh it in the morning before getting dressed or eating breakfast my weight will show like 2/3 pounds less than after a breakfast or lunch meal. Same at the dr. I usually have the appointments in the morning so I eat something very light and wear fitted clothes so my weight will show what is exact and not too much more pounds. Well my big ultrasound is on Monday at 1:00pm...that's the only time they had available in our schedules as well. So what can I eat between 8am-12noon that day that will be light enough in my stomach and won't make me show more pounds? I know I have to drink water an hour before the Ultrasound so my bladder is full. but anything about food that will be good and light that day?

It was printed in the mid-seventies and I think it is called the miracle of life. The book shows brilliant pictures of a baby developing in the womb. I really would love to know the correct title and hopefully where I can get my hands on one, so I can show my daughter exactly what is happening inside.

My Dr. recently put me on bedrest and I am only 7 months pregnant. I was told that I would have 6 weeks of disability and 6 weeks of maternity leave. Could this be correct since I am entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid leave under the FMLA ACT. Can I put in for short term disability since my Baby has not been born and it is the Dr. that is recommending the bed rest until I give birth and then use my FMLA

i just found out im pregnant on wednesday the 8th and i toke at least 2 tests and they were in september and they were negative and on the 16th of october i went to see my doctor and he gave me some sorta exam i forgot what the name is anyways he said were the baby grows is bigger than normal size and i have an appoinment on the 20th and im just wondering how many weeks am i? because im getting chubby and right below my stomach is kinda hard where the baby grows and i forgot what day i had my period last probably in july or in august but im so confused!!

I am 11 weeks pregnant and recently purchased an at home fetal doppler from ebay. The first time I tried it I found the heartbeat after about 30 mins and was obviously very excited as I havnt had a scan yet. Anyway, just now I tried it again and can very clearly hear the placenta and heartbeat, but on both sides of my lower abdomen. With nothing in the middle. Is this the same heartbeat I can hear?? If there were two babies wouldnt they be together rather than on completely seperate sides? I am panicking slightly as I dont have a scan for another couple of weeks. And twins do run in the family......

Please someone put my mind at rest and tell me it can be the same heartbeat!

I am 10 weeks pregnant and tested positive for group B strep that has caused a UTI. I have been put on penicillin to get rid of the UTI. I know they test you later on in pregnancy for this, but has anybody else been diagnosed with this early in their pregnancy?
It is scary when you read about this bacteria and what it can do to the baby. Thanks for personal experiences.

This is weird, my friend thinks she is pregnant. Her boobs are a lot bigger, but they don't hurt and she says she has to pee a lot more for the past few weeks.

She has been on birth control for a year and still has a period when she finishes a pack. She has taken a test every 2 weeks or so and all of them are negative.

But she still thinks she is pregnant even without any symptoms. She stopped birth control and took another test, it was negative.

She says now she has been feeling this weird bubbling in her very low belly near her pubic bone and sometimes on her side area, she has been feeling it for about two weeks a lot lately.

But she has not gained any weight and her stomach looks normal. If it really was a baby moving shouldn't hurt stomach be a bump at least?

She went to the doctor and he didn't even bother giving her a test because she never missed any birth control pills.

Could she be pregnant or is she just really wanting a baby?

What do you think??

I'll be 38 weeks Sunday. Tuesday, when I went to the OB, he told me I was about 2 cm. That night I had a lot of cramping and the following morning I had a some bloody discharge (probably the mucus plug) that lasted throughout the morning. For the rest of the day, yesterday, and this morning - I've been having BH contractions - some that are quite strong, but not what I would call painful. I also don't notice any set pattern, nor do they seem to get stronger or closer together. Also today, I noticed an increase in discharge this morning, had some nausea and a bit of a headache.

My family's a little "on edge" because I haven't gone to the hopsital to get checked out. I am very anxious to get this over with, but I do not want to go to the hospital just to look like an idiot and get sent home. However, with my first child, I didn't even know I was in labor. I was dilated to 6 cm when the doctor checked me (I was at my OB appt). I never felt any contractions, pain, etc.

I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. A couple of days ago I had a pink and then brown discharge; it went away by itself in a day. Now I have an egg white type of discharge and some abdominal pain and back pain. I don't know if this is normal. I heard this egg white type of discharge happens during the most fertile days of your cycle. Since I am pregnant, I am not sure if I am supposed to get that during the pregnancy. I am over 10 days into my cycle. I had a home pregnancy test and a blood test done and they both came out positive. I am just worried about the miscarriage.
