I feel ya! I'm the same way! I keep hearing all of these things that could go wrong, and I keep worrying! My fiance tells me to chill out, but sometimes I just can't! I'd be devastated if anything happened to my little guy! I'm 34 weeks pregnant (6 weeks to go, Woohoo!!) and I always get worried if i don't feel him kick, or I get some odd pain...oh and I keep watching stories about babies, like on the learning channel, and something always goes wrong, and I start bawling! I guess I should stop watching those!
Anyways, I just try and relax...as long as I know I'm doing everything I can to have a healthy baby, there is nothing more I can do! Try doing the same...just think, 10 more weeks!! and you will have your little one in your arms :)
♥ Good luck, congrats, and I wish you an easy labor!♥

Lisa yes - i was scared and still am. My girl is 13 months.
during pregnancy it was test results which worried me.
when she was born it was cot death - i did not sleep many a night just listening to her breathing. I guess it is part of being a mum.
It is better now but still. How ever it would be really good if you could find a way to relaxx a little because your baby shares your anxiety - believe me it is not poppycock. you can talk to a docotr or take yoga classes - they help calm you down.
Read about cot death - there is lot info out there - after brith talk to health visitor - they can help with any questions.
You baby will need you to be confident so that she feels safe.
Good luck all the best

I did get fluttery feelings when I thought of the things that could go wrong, then I reminded myself we've been having babies for thousands of years, hospitals or no. It's good that you've had one already even though its a long interval.
Can you use 'Rescue remedy' in pregnancy? That might be good to have in case the feelings get too much, and I would look at some herbal teas or calming essential oils. It does sound as if you need a little help in the relaxation department.

Every body is scared. Especially the first time, but your worrying yourself needlessly by thinking these things. Just go with the flow let it be a happy occasion, think good not bad. 30 weeks your nearly there, home and dry. I have 5 children none perfect but then no body is so stop your worrying. Everything will be ok

That's not too uncommon...especially if you had a loss recently. 2 months before I had my first baby my dog got hit by a car, and a high school friend's wife was killed by a drunk driver leaving behind 3 young kids. I was a nervous wreck for almost a year...It just made me realize how unsure life is, and you have so much more to live for now that you have this impending future with your new baby. Don't worry, you'll get thru this and back to normal eventually. :-)

no you are not the only one... everyone is scared at some point. I am only 5 weeks along and I am becoming very nervous already!!! (look at some of my questions over the past couple days) but you just have to trust that everything will be okay. If you continue to feel so strongly like this you will drive yourself crazy... good luck, if you need someone to talk to you email me...
Congrads on your baby girl.

they know the cause of cot death now so its easier to control. you can obtain apnoea mattresses with alarms built in. you can have amniotic tests to diagnose defects. pregnancy is the easy bit they'll give you a life time of worry once born! stress could induce pregnancy so relax, anything else is out of your hands. eat well , sleep , oh and stay away from house hold cleaner they say the chemicals can cause conditions such as autism.

You and your baby have a better chance of being fine then not.I too worry alot-it drives my hubby crazy at times!I am currently pregnant with my 2nd baby-I am 25 weeks and I worry about my water breaking early-or still birth-and yes-I do worry about SIDS too.But all of that is not under our control and worry will only stress us out and not let us enjoy each day of our pregnancy.

Stop being stressed because everything you feel the baby feels. Stop being nervous, that can make the baby nervous. just calm down and pray about it. you are going to have bad days but you also are going to have good ones focus on the good days. treat yourself to whatever you like. be around people who love you and stop worrying
everything is going to be alright. you have to think about that beautiful baby that will be coming home with you.
