An ecoli attack is going on right now and they think it is coming from raw spinach. Just to be safe don't eat any for awhile and throw out what you do have at home. I'm only saying this because I don't want anyone to get sick, especially all us pregnant women!!!

I keep seeing people respond to questions with things like "ask your doctor" or "doctors know best", one person even said "your doctor knows your body better than you do"! How is that even possible?

200 years ago doctors were prescribing leeches and bloodletting to cure disease, and killed thousands of women in childbirth with infections and just plain ignorance. Yet people listened to them and thought they were right. People thought with all the modern medical science they were getting the best care possible. Wrong-o!

What makes you think things have changed?

Ok, I took a test on wednesday that was positive. I took a test today that was negative. Went to the bathroom and there was blood...bright red and brown discharge...its still there I think. Period not due till Tuesday. I have a PERFECT 28 day cycle. It is NEVER early or late. NEVER EVER. I had unprotected sex on Aug. 22, Sept. 7, Sept. 11...so I COULD be...I was ovulating around the last two times. I have had several symptoms too, but it could possibly be PMS. Im confused. Ill test again in the morning to see since I tested midday and I had been urinating all day instead of letting it build up. Any suggestions? Im not sure how long the bleeding will last but if it is shortlived then I may indeed be pregnant. The blood isnt dark like my period normally is. Its actually quite bright red...too bright for comfort...HELP!

I have been on the depo-provera shot since 1999. I was sopose to get my last shot in May of this year but I skipped it. My fiance and i are wanting children (we are getting married soon) and so the doctor suggested going off as soon as possible since it can take a really long time to get pregnant. Especially since I have been on it so long. I have only recently switched doctors and she is scaring me a little bit saying I should not have been on the type of birth control for such an extended amount of time and it may hinder the chances of us getting pregnant. Is this true? I told her that we want kids in the near future (2-3 years from now) and that I would still like some form of birth control just not one so foolproof. She said she would consider a prescription for a lighter form of birth control after i have been off depo for at least 8-12 months. Is this safe at all? We want kids but not this minute. if it happens it happens, life isn't scripted. Please give me your thoughts.thanks

I just looked at my calender and realized that my period is 3 days late but I have been having my usual premenstrual cramps all week. It was due on Tuesday. My last period was Aug 17 which was the exact scheduled date for it to begin. My husband and I had sex once around ovulation which was Aug 27.We both thought he withdrew without ejaculating because he didn't feel anything coming out of his penis, but he did lose his erection. So is it possible for a guy to ejaculate during sex and not know it or feel it? He
did however feel it on the verge of coming, but says that he didn't feel it actually come out though. Should I go ahead and take a test now or wait a little longer? Or is it even a possibility that I might be pregnant under the mentioned circumstances.

Does your linea negra (that black line going up your belly) go up to your belly button or does it go past that to around your ribcage? I'm just curious to see which is more common for women pregnant with girls.

I heard that cramping is normal since the uterus is growing, but nobody ever mentions if that is for a day or two or can last for weeks.

How far along were some of you when you found out you were pregnant? Did some of you have negatives for awhile before you had any positives, whether it was a urine or blood test? Just curious. Thanks for any serious response.

Ok I went to the OB and today she did the exam and she mentioned that my uterus is soft and my cervix is closed. I get all these little flutters in my stomach and at night I get more, I also get bad leg cramps..one woke me up this morning at 3am.

My question is has anyone been told that their uterus is soft and cervix is closed when they found out about being pregnant?

Take care.
