Ok, I took a test on wednesday that was positive. I took a test today that was negative. Went to the bathroom and there was blood...bright red and brown discharge...its still there I think. Period not due till Tuesday. I have a PERFECT 28 day cycle. It is NEVER early or late. NEVER EVER. I had unprotected sex on Aug. 22, Sept. 7, Sept. 11...so I COULD be...I was ovulating around the last two times. I have had several symptoms too, but it could possibly be PMS. Im confused. Ill test again in the morning to see since I tested midday and I had been urinating all day instead of letting it build up. Any suggestions? Im not sure how long the bleeding will last but if it is shortlived then I may indeed be pregnant. The blood isnt dark like my period normally is. Its actually quite bright red...too bright for comfort...HELP!

Sounds like one of three things. One, could be implantation bleeding, although unlikely. Two, could be an early period, stress can make it late or early. Or three, it could be a miscarriage. If that's the case, then it's so early that it'll be like having a period. My doctor said that a LOT of women have had miscarriages and not realized it because it's just like an early, late or heavy period. It usually happens at anywhere from 2 to 5 weeks, and can go completely unnoticed and passed off as an odd period. It's typically not something you did, or can prevent, it's chromosomal and nature's way of saying, Uh....this won't work, we need to start over. In any case, I would suggest seeing your doctor on Monday and talking to them about it. If the bleeding gets severe (having to change more than 2-3 pads an hour) you need to be seen in the ER. Bright red blood is indicative of highly oxygenated blood. Some is okay and normal, but if it contines in a severe pattern, it's not okay or nomal and needs immediate medical attention. Good luck. =)

First you should see a doctor, but if you are pregnant you could still have your period. During and after pregnancy your period can change quite a bit. Good luck, sweetie.

Doctors talk about a false negative but not the other way about. It could be possible that you miscarried. Only way to be sure is to go talk to a doctor. Especially if your cycle is very predictable.
