It is probably one of the normal pinches or cramps that come with pregnancy...but, YOU SHOULD TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR to be sure that it is normal for you.

It means it's time to go to the doctor....right now....or the emergency room if the Dr. is unavailable. It could be nothing other than the normal discomforts of pregnancy. However, it could be a sign of a serious problem with the baby, yourself, or both. If the pain is severe, calling 911 if no one is around to drive you (right now) is a good idea. Do not put if off hoping it will go away, because while it may well go away on its own, it also may be a problem that will be irreversable if you hesitate.

If you have sharp pains when you move or get up, it's probably your ligaments. They stretch and sometimes it feels like sharp pain. If it is continuous or happens while you're just sitting still, I'd visit the doctor.

I'm 6 months pregnant now, and I still have that round ligament pain.

Pains are not abnormal.... however SHARP pains (as you stated) can be signs of something bad, I would be on the safe side and go see the Dr.

I agree, you will experience all sorts of weird pains and things during your pregnancy. Check with a doctor if they become constant or there is bleeding involved, or if for no other reason than to ease your mind.

I had the same thing too. Its normal. They feel like cramps but sharper right? Its always a good idea to let your doctor know anyways cuz it could be something else. Remember to be healthy and drink lots of water. Take your pills and walk to keep yourself healthy.

It is most likely pain caused by the stretching of your uterus, but just to be safe, see your OB/GYN. (Congrats on your baby!!)
