Baby Names - December 2007

[Selected]: All categories Pregnancy & Parenting Baby Names

Here's a fun game for all you name-lovers. I'm compiling a list of twin names that match in a subtle way (like be meaning or by origin), instead of by rhyming or first letter. Please help! (Maybe by this list we can convince some expectant mothers not to name their children Emma and Jemma or Aiden and Jaden.) The names should still be cute, should coordinate (not one plain English and one exotic African), and should sound good in modern Amerian society.

My examples:
-- Helen ("light") and Claire ("bright") and Lucy ("light")
-- Kate ("pure") and Lily ("pure") and Susannah ("lily")
-- Leila ("dark-haired") and Keira ("dark")
-- Ella ("elfin") and Aubrey ("king of the elves")
-- Mary (virgin mother) and Diana (virgin goddess)
-- Hannah ("grace") and Charissa (Greek "grace")
-- Phoebe ("moon") and Celene ("moon") and Luna ("moon") and Diana (moon goddess) and Neoma (Greek "moon")
-- Leila (Persian "dark; night") and Nisha (Sanskrit "night") and Samar (Arabic "darkness of night")

i have posted the name Aebree/, Abry, /Aebrie, several times for peoples opinions and i know that it is not pronounced Aubrey but people have told me that im illiterate and that Aebrie should be spelled Aubrey and its really making me mad for people to criticize my spelling when the name is Aebrie NOT Aubry. so i was wondering if you would say Aubry if it was spelled like Aebrie or Aebree. or if Im right

When choosing the name of your child(ren) did/do you take the meaning of the name into consideration of do you just go by whether or not you like the sound, spelling, flow, etc. And if you care to share, what are the names of your children and what do they mean?

I once had a fantasy about having quadruplet girls and naming them after the four substances that make up DNA: Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine.
(they sort of sound like girls' names)

We decided on Caleb for the first name but can't figure out a middle name. He's due next Saturday....
Here's the issues:
Husband's name is Christopher and i like Topher but he thinks it sounds retarded. He likes his name but our last name starts with a C and has a K sound. Then his brother said we could nickname him 3CPO- gimme a break!
He also likes Cameron but that's another C plus i have issues with that name (weird people with the same name and it sounds too much like a girl's name)
I like Jeffrey (deceased parent's middle name) and Zachary but i can't get it together.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've looked around even on here and everyone seems to be having girls.
