i have posted the name Aebree/, Abry, /Aebrie, several times for peoples opinions and i know that it is not pronounced Aubrey but people have told me that im illiterate and that Aebrie should be spelled Aubrey and its really making me mad for people to criticize my spelling when the name is Aebrie NOT Aubry. so i was wondering if you would say Aubry if it was spelled like Aebrie or Aebree. or if Im right

If I honestly saw the name Aebree on an attendance list I would take the poor child in my arms and I would phone you and ask if you knew what an emotional toll having a hard-to-pronounce name has on a child.

I have nothing wrong with the name, I think it's actually very pretty, but consider the spelling. Aebree has too many e's, but Abry and Aebrie are all right, although AEbrie reminds me of teens obssessing over the American Eagle store.

No matter what...pick a beautiful name that will carry your child through adulthood.

Best of luck.

Honestly, I don't understand why people would think Aebrie would suposed to be Aubry, Aebrie is a beautiful name nice and unique, but it's not so unique that people should be confusing it with Aubry

Try this pronunciation:

Ah-bray and if you like, roll the "r" in your name.

You can pronounce it any way you like.

I have a friend who spells her name "Regenia" and her mother always called it "Ra-gee-na"

I have another friend who name is spelled, "Eugenia" and her mother always called it, "Ah-jhoo-nay"

We have giggled over the years as to what many people do to my name, they move the "L", it is probably a learning disability of some sort.
My name is "Carla", but I know there is always going to be some "4lettered- so and so" dolt of an idiot that is going to call it, "Clara."

How you pronounce your name is up to you, find one way and stick to it. Oh and be sure to feel justified when you get a chance to correct any idiot for their mispronunciation of your name.

is it more A - BREE

or more AH - BREE

how about spelling it

Aabree like Aaron the 2 A's give a longer A sound

Don't see how peope would get confussed but then my baby sisters name is Alicia and every one calles her Alesha and thats not her name it is Alessia but it's correct spelling is Alicia.

Good Luck

If you named your child Aebree/Abry/Aebrie, I would pronounce it A, as in if you are saying the letter 'A' and bree, like brie cheese.

I think the controversy over how it is pronounced should be enough for you to rethink it. I have no idea how it's supposed to be pronounced, but no, it doesn't look like Aubrey.
