Given this baby naming craze, what do you think is worse? The so called "unique" names that are misspelled, made up, and sometimes just ridiculous (La'Jacquioosle, or Ghennifor), or the overused trendy names (Brittney, Ashley, etc)? Don't mean to offend anyone, just curious.

My husband and I are thinking of Marissa Claire for our baby (if it's a girl). We have a two-syllable last name, so I thought it sounded kind of nice. My parents didn't seem that excited, though.

Please let me know what you think!

Also a middle name. The last name will be Barnes. The mother of the baby is white and the father is black so any name is good.

My hubby and I are naming our child after my grandmother and mother in law. Please no rude comments, but we wanted to know which names you liked best. Also which spellings.

Kathryn Alise
Kathryn Elise
Kathryn Alice
Katherine Alise
Katherine Elise
Katherine Alice
Catherine Alise
Catherine Elise
Catherine Alice

I do not like the name Alice as much personally myself. But it is only because Alice reminds me to much of Wonderland. I know it's a wierd reason but it's the truth. I was just wondering what everyone else thought. Open to any comments as long as they are not rude.

we like the name her Emily Rose, but when I googled it I found a movie called the Exorcisim of Emily Rose. Now I don't really want to use that name. I love biblical names but can't seem to think of one that would go with Emily. I also wanted the middle name to have somekind of family tie but I don't like any of my family's names real well! Here are a few relative names, Charlene, Elma, Lavonne, Marie, Patricia, Lillyan, Ann, Cecilia, Betty. let me know if you think of ANY good names to go with Emily.
