while unique names are nice, they can be a burden on the child who will spend a great deal of their lives correcting other peoples' pronunciation and spelling. i don't have a unique name, but i do have a unique spelling of that name, and it's irritating to have it spelled incorrectly 99% of the time - even on legal documents...

Amani Kai (if pronounced the way i read it) will sound like "harmonica" to most people; Amari Kai = either america or mary kay (as in cosmetics)... however, i do like Amani by itself - unique without being too far out there. Andre is always a nice name, very french, so why not use a french middle name like paul? or you could give him a traditional middle name like michael...

either way - mazeltov on your new arrival! health & happiness to you and your family.

In my opinion, those girls' names are just going to be difficult for your child. I pronounced them Am-or-ee Kay, which I see is wrong, but it's likely going to be a common way they're said. It's a beautiful combination, don't get me wrong...but is there any way to spell them differently? Pronouncing them as I did, I could see Amory Kay as being a possible choice.

Remember, though: your child, your decision, and later, their name and their decision.

As far as Andre, it's a good name. The root name of it is Andrew, which means masculine or manly, and people with the AND phoneme tend to be strong, slightly cynical and steadfast individuals. I'd go with something traditional for a middle name, and if you enjoy odd spellings of usual names, try Danyul for Daniel.
