9/11 didn't quite turn out the way Dick Cheney and the PNACer's thought it would, did it?

By now, the entire Middle East was supposed to have been conquered, the American Empire expanded, and militarism recredited. It was supposed to have propelled the neocon party to a glorious, 100 year, iron-fist rule over America. Instead, we have two pitifully failed wars and an American pride and prestige in ruins. To add insult to injury, the GOP will be out of power for decades to come.

Did Cheney miscalculate when he let the terrorists attack on 9/11? Does he regret subverting law enforcement from apprehending the 9/11 hijackers in the months leading up to the attack? Does it keep him up at night knowing that he masterminded the stand-down order of America's air defenses and orchestrated the simultaneous war-games for operational cover on the day of 9/11?

i'd probably go with FDR. i would also say he's the most liberal: helped the poor, encouraged tolerance, and was opposed to war unless it was necessary.

i'd have to say the worst was Reagan. he clearly had no idea how to run the economy. either that or his rich friends were first on his priority list. not to mention Reagan hated dissent and the use of free speech.

11%, it's never been lower. The first female speaker of the house should be hiding under her desk, crying. Libs tirelessly attacked Condi Rice, where is their outrage with Nancys crappy performance? Imagine the attacks if this was a female Republican led congress! 89% don't think this lib led congress is worth spit.

please first know this is a serious question, I am not in fact a "libtard" or any other such thing but in fact a centrist who is genuinely curious about something that doesn't seem to make any sense....I'm all for wiretapping anyone we need to, but the laws he violated already allowed this. Under the law, Bush and/or law enforcement was able to do whatever they needed as quickly as they needed, as long as they got a warrant +++AFTERWARDS+++. This rule is to make sure that the powers are NOT being abused and ARE only being used on legitimate suspects, so when Bush refuses even this it is extremely suspicious. I have never heard an actual defense of this detail, can anybody offer one? It might even be a convincing argument I haven't thought of.

And nobody ask what I'm afraid of, even if I haven't done anything wrong the point is that a President could use this power on political enemies and subvert our democracy. If Hillary wins, do you really want her to have all these same powers?

Why not, we are killing babies anyway. Why not give you the option to see if the child will annoy you in the first three months after birth to decide if you want to "not keep the baby". When will we wake up in this country and repeal Roe vs Wade.

This is a known fact, the media belongs to the unions, and the unions support the Democrats. The Medias purpose is to promote the Democrats and destroy the Republicans. America gets only one side of the story from the media, and people believe they are getting truth. The Senate and Harry Reid tried to slam Rush Limbaugh for free speech. Democrats fear Limbaugh because he speaks the truth. This country is in big trouble if they don’t wise up and get the whole truth instead of what the liberal media wants you to know.

I don't know Hillary's experience. She's never run a city. She's never run a state. She's never run a business. She's never met a payroll. She's never been responsible for the safety and security of millions of people, much less even hundreds of people. So I'm trying to figure out where the experience is here. It would seem to me that in a time of difficult problems and war, we don't want on-the-job training for an executive. The reality is that these are areas in which -- maybe there are some areas in which she has experience, but the areas of having the responsibility of the safety and security of millions of people on your shoulders, is not something that Hillary has ever had any experience with

Cons used this single quote to bash Hillary:

'You know, I'm going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building that I work in. You know, maybe that sounds kind of stupid, but on the other hand I want to start seeing her as a human being.'"

HERE IS THE QUOTE IN CONTEXT:

1993 New York Times magazine piece (interview by Michael Kelly)

"If you break down the Golden Rule or you take Christ's Commandment - Love thy neighbor as thyself - there is an underlying assumption that you will value yourself, that you will be a responsible human being who will live by certain behaviors that enable you to have self-respect, because, then, out of that self-respect comes the capacity for you to respect and care for other people.
